james750
I've been searching for vac leaks on my truck. On the right side of the throttle body (passenger side), there are 2 vacuum ports the bottom one has a line running to the MAP sensor, but the top one is empty. What is supposed to be hooked up to the top vac port?

64 Cheyenne
Actually, it is a test port. It's designed to "test" Jeep owners to see if the'yre paying attention to what is going on with their vehicle. Not really, It's "blind", meaning the hole doesn't go all the way through. I put a small screw in mine because...... :dunno:

I put a small screw in mine because...... :dunno: It's just a "keeper" hole to align the connection correctly. Just to help hold it in place. There's really no need to plug it as it's already "plugged" in the casting.
vaquaro
That second port goes to the CCV grommet on the valve cover on my 2.5 , you have found your vacuum leak :clapping:
ParadiseMJ
On the 4.0 - the ONE port goes to the MAP. The CCV hose goes to the intake manifold.
