jimoshel Posted April 13, 2010 Posted April 13, 2010 I believe the '86's were all serpentine, not V. Surely you can find something closer to home but if you can't I have several PS pumps. You are aware aren't you that 84 up Cherokees' will work?

waggy Posted April 15, 2010 Posted April 15, 2010 could have been manufactured later in the year , i have seen jeeps when the next model year is getting close and they run out of parts they start to use the new parts , my friend had a 89 xj with lots of 90's parts from the factory , it was one of the last xjs made in 89 .
1986Comanche Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 I believe the '86's were all serpentine, not V. That is wrong, 1986s were available with either the V belt or the serpentine belt setup. I have 2 1986 Comanches with the 2.5L sitting here and they both have the V belt setup on them. I hope this info helps.
XxStirCrazedxX Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 yep, i knew they coul have the Vbelts but i havnt seen the serp setup on an 86. Anyways i have the vbelts and still need a pully and or pump. I took a Pump from a 87 with serp and hoping to find a pully that fits.
