I know it's not an original idea, but I decided that this will be the fix when the rust catches up to me (or I smash them up on the trail, whichever happens first). I think I'll just cut away the outer bedsides of my 88 and add a flat panel and support frame. Maybe with a diamond tread pattern on the flat panel. Maybe even aluminum. :brows:

Not until the 90 has a drivetrain in it, and I fix the rear axle in the 88, and well, it might be a long time before I can do it. :( But I wanted to make my thoughts known, just incase it inspires someone else. :thumbsup:

In my head I figure it shouldn't be all that hard to do. :brows:

Ive had Ol Rusty nine years now and I'm finding it hard to just start cuttin it up...even though its gettin a little easier to think about now that i bought another :D
