whowey
Some of you remember this little discovery of mine. Well, I finally got tired of driving the MJ this way and bought some new shocks for it. I got out all the weapons of war. I figured out all the crud, rust, and accumulated mung would make this into a battle of wills. I PB Blaster'd the retaining nuts and prepared for a titan struggle. I hit the first nut with the impact gun. It came off so quickly I thought it just flat sheared off. It came right of. All four came right off, and even the shocks slid right off the studs. But the was a generous amount of never-seeze residue all over the removed parts. It took about 20 minutes to change both rear shocks. I don't think I have ever done a set so quickly. BTW, the other shock was rusted out on the top it. Good day. I forgotten how nice it was to hit bumps with actual working shocks.
Eagle
Gotta love that Never-Seez stuff. I think it should be a Federal law that the manufacturers have to use it on any part that even might ever need to be taken apart at any time before a vehicle disintiegrates into a small pile of rust flakes.
