Is the 97+ cherokee same as 96 and older.For the fenders and header panel. i know the wires are differant for the header panel. thanks

i think we need a little bit more information, what exactly do you want to know...

 

you can unbolt the fenders/header panel and bolt up the new one just fine. its the wiring up the front lights that messes people up and you already know that.

Yes that is all i am replacing. The two front ferders and header panel + the new wire harness.

Does anybody know if i can just plug in the 97 harness to the 90 harness without splicing together.

i do believe that one of the members here used parts from both era's vehicles and made jumpers so that it was a plug and play you may want to do search here unless someone knows where the link to the post. :idea:

Well I think I can help out there.

Figuring the wires out is pretty easy with them side by side. The thing about the 97+ is that they use a separate hot and ground wire for each side and the earlier years just used one.

Well i got everything on.I thought the wire harness was going to be a pain. Turned out that was the easy part. I would post pictures but i do not have a camera. Thanks again

I have amother question. Is ther a write up on how to mod the rear fender flares to fit.Also what about the tailight lenses.
