the door should fit but i think the striker needs to be moved on the door jamb

Take a good hard look at the striker. I think it's a different style. I don't remember specifically how, but I do recall when I did a late model XJ door swap on an MJ I had to make at least one new hole.

Jeep produced the Comanche form 86-92, and any of the 97+ doors will bolt right up. You just need to change out the striker. Check out 'Project Onyx', he's swapped the doors, front clip, interior etc.

There's a guy here selling the door for $15. I haven't looked at it yet so don't know how different it's going to look. I'm also not sure if it has electric windows. That might be weird. One electric and one manual. I'll check it out.

I also have 97+ doors on my MJ. Hanging the door itself is not hard. But the wiring is a PITA.

And I just noticed that I typed 96 instead of 91 comanche.

 

I assume the 2000 sport door will fit my 91 comanche
