My New Jeep

According to the Prez. Will have a high efficient Fiat motor,probably a Puegot tranny,wheels from a Ford,crappy Goodyear tires,financed by GMAC and its warranty will be backed by the U.S. government. Chryslers workers will have health care courtesy of Diamler.Hell even Canada will throw in a few worthless Canadian dollars to help out.When GM goes belly up they will repo my new Jeep and I will lose all I put into it.Who will bail ME out? AND we all be stuck with the tab. I think I will just keep the old MJ and restore an XJ for the wife.

GM hasnt owned GMAC for many years. I think Cerberus, who took over Chryco owns them if I remeber correctly, Thats probably why GMAC is taking over financing.

Supposedly there were talks between GM and Cerberus about trading GMAC for the Jeep brand, but Cerberus did not want to split Jeep off from Chrysler.

 

That would mean that GM does still own GMAC, though. Or did a year ago anyway.
