mvusse Posted April 15, 2009 Author Posted April 15, 2009 Davey's Jeeps quoted me $125 for a set with good u-joints. But I just found out Cleveland has 2 pull-a-parts and they charge $15 per shaft. So what all would have the 297x/760x joints? 96 up XJs (?) any XJ with abs (?) What else?
CWLONGSHOT Posted April 16, 2009 Posted April 16, 2009 I agree with all posts.. Save the brain cells, just buy a set of TJ axles. IMHO, 80-100 bucks for as is shafts out of a used D30 axle. 150 for one with new (er) replaced UJoints. CW
mvusse Posted April 16, 2009 Author Posted April 16, 2009 Except I can't find a TJ anywhere near besides Davey's. A number of newer XJs at the Cleveland West pull-a-part, though. The money I save could be used toward new 760 joints.
