Water Pump 1990 Comanche 4.0

Recommended Posts

Any brand from you local parts store should do. If you live in a warmer climate, 4x4 or tow with your jeep I'd highly recommend a flowkooler brand waterpump. I run one in my cherokee and it makes a huge difference. Instead of constantly running 210 (or higher in summer with AC on) it runs solid at 195 and never goes above 210 even on those hot days with stop-and-go traffic.

Take the opportunity to flush the cooling system.

Be careful to not strip any of the bolts.

Let your RTV seal set up overnight before running the truck - you don't want the pressure causing a leak because the seal isn't solid yet.
