comancheman
does anyone know of someone who makes headers for the 88 comanche i can't find any. It wasn't realy a big deal till i realized the my manifold had 2 cracks ON THE # 5 AND 6 CYL i was finishing up the motor to finally put it in the manche  . What a bummer! i don't wanna spend another $300 especially without an increase in performance any help would be appreciated. is it alright to weld the manifold? feerocknok
Borla definitely makes one. It's also about $500. The other companies I'm not sure about, because I think most of them only make it for the H.O. motor, which was introduced in '91.
comancheman
I'm not finding the part on borla's web site are you sure they have one?
DirtyComanche
There's plenty, I'd look them up for you, but yeah, lazy. Anyways, you can weld the old one no-problemo. Just gotta clean it good first.
feerocknok
You have to go to their catalog. The main page does cat-back systems, which they don't make. Here's the catalog: http://www.borla.com/media/2005borla_app_guide2.pdf Go to page 47. Comanche 4.0L 6CYL SB MT 87-90 Header 17010

feerocknok
do you know if that header will fit the automatic trans. Your best bet may be to contact the company. If they don't know about the Comanche header, it's the same as a Cherokee's.
comancheman
i ordered a pacesetter header its cheap but better than a cracked manifold. i couldnt afford the ceramoc coated one so ill probably wrap it with some of that tape thanks for your help though
pingpong
Why not head to the local pick a part and buy you another 20buck manifold.... Everytime I go to the UWI, I look for 4.0's that have had the engine or FI pulled to pick up the easy manifold :D I got a few extra's in the garage :brows:
DirtyComanche
Or just weld the bugger. It's not hard to do, once you get it out. It's not like it's a cast steel/iron manifold.
