comancheman Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 does anyone know of someone who makes headers for the 88 comanche i can't find any. It wasn't realy a big deal till i realized the my manifold had 2 cracks ON THE # 5 AND 6 CYL i was finishing up the motor to finally put it in the manche :mad: . What a bummer! i don't wanna spend another $300 especially without an increase in performance any help would be appreciated. is it alright to weld the manifold?
feerocknok Posted July 30, 2006 Posted July 30, 2006 Borla definitely makes one. It's also about $500. The other companies I'm not sure about, because I think most of them only make it for the H.O. motor, which was introduced in '91.

comancheman Posted July 31, 2006 Author Posted July 31, 2006 i ordered a pacesetter header its cheap but better than a cracked manifold. i couldnt afford the ceramoc coated one so ill probably wrap it with some of that tape thanks for your help though
pingpong Posted July 31, 2006 Posted July 31, 2006 Why not head to the local pick a part and buy you another 20buck manifold.... Everytime I go to the UWI, I look for 4.0's that have had the engine or FI pulled to pick up the easy manifold :D I got a few extra's in the garage :brows:
