SuperWade2
Getting conflicting #'s from different charts on different sites... 31" Tires -> 4.10 Gears I got a long shaft 37 tooth for about $15, didn't see 36's readily available... Does it matter...will they be "close enough"? Wade

RandysMJ
Not to hijack your thread. But does anyone know where i can get a long shaft 39 tooth? I work at a Jeep dealer and my cost is over $50. I know somebody has to have them cheaper.

I work at a Jeep dealer and my cost is over $50. I know somebody has to have them cheaper. Chrysler jacked the price on them about 6-7 months ago. They used to be like $20, now they are over $80. $50 is a good price to be honest with ya and I doubt you'll find it cheaper. If you do you've most likely found someone who's not aware of the price raise...

SuperWade2
Where is the "mark" on the T-Case that i'm supposed to be matching the side of the cable housing too? I see the Numbers on the end of platic ring on the Speedo cable, bit can't see anything on the t-case...

I see the Numbers on the end of platic ring on the Speedo cable, bit can't see anything on the t-case... ???? As I recall there are only notches on my tcase at 3,6,9, and 12 O'clock and the adapter plate for the speedo housing that can be aligned to the notches has the tooth count in four sectors corresponding to the notches. I didn't notice any teeth numbers on my housing because it was rusted, I got another one from the JY and it had the numbers.

So if I installed it correctly, the Tach us also affected, correct... On the way to work today, I have Tach, but no Speedo...maybe it popped out of the back of the Speedo @ the Dash (clip isn't the most secure) when I was yanking on the speedo cable. My tach worked without the speedo. If you do not allign the tab over the correct tooth count like I did I got "bouncing speedo". I would then move the tab another 45 degrees to the next tab and try driving again. I did this 2 times until I got the speedo working. I eventually bought a new housing with the numbers on it. I'll check the Cable up top first and if it's in good, then I'll pop the housing off again... I can read the #'s on the housing, I just didn't don't see anything to align them too... SW, There should be numbers representing teeth ranges in 3 areas E.G 17-24, 25-36, 37-42. This is why you rotate the housing to the red arrow Motion Offroad supplied to match your tooth count. So the mark on the "32-38" actually points toward the bolt holding the retaining clip/
