tmmoll
I have narrowed my problem down to the CPS sensor. The only problem is its an 86 2.5l. No auto parts stores carry it for this year. Will a cherokee with the same engine or 87+comanche work in my 86? Please help me out on this one.
smartazz19
AutoZone... SU3015 Duralast / Crankshaft Position Sensor for a 1986 Jeep Comanche 2WD $28.99 :???: Is that not it?
BLHTAZ
Rock Auto shows several choices for your year. Here is a screen shot of what I found, but it may not be real easy to read... Got to rockauto.com and you will find it.
tmmoll
I know that I can order online but i would like to have it today. Autozone has the CPS for 87+ cherokee. I was wondering if the part would fit.
Pete M
87 2.5L or 87 4.0L?
tmmoll
I found one at advanced. Now it sounds like it idles to low. Would that be the Map sensor?
tmmoll
When I shut it off it won't start unless I put starter fluid in it. May be gas lines have junk in them? Any kind of tune up for the fuel system? It is a 2.5l.
mvusse
Check the fuel pressure. Might be a clogged filter, clogged pump sock or bad worn out pump.
