tmmoll Posted January 22, 2009 Posted January 22, 2009 I have narrowed my problem down to the CPS sensor. The only problem is its an 86 2.5l. No auto parts stores carry it for this year. Will a cherokee with the same engine or 87+comanche work in my 86? Please help me out on this one.

tmmoll Posted January 23, 2009 Author Posted January 23, 2009 When I shut it off it won't start unless I put starter fluid in it. May be gas lines have junk in them? Any kind of tune up for the fuel system? It is a 2.5l.
mvusse Posted January 23, 2009 Posted January 23, 2009 Check the fuel pressure. Might be a clogged filter, clogged pump sock or bad worn out pump.
