I understand why and how a WJ lower control arm will give you some more clearnace for tires. Not really interested in modifying a WJ control arm. But I thought I saw once in my web surfing a new lower control arm for Cherokee/Comanches that incorporated the bend like a WJ to give that extra clearnce.

For the life of me I can't remember who offered the new lower control arm

Anybody run across a WJ type lower control arm for MJ's

I think a recent post suggested that Rusty's is now offering a WJ style LCA for the XJ/MJ/ZJ. Dunno that I have much faith in anything from Rusty's, but check his web site and see if he lists it.

Took several junk yards but I did find a pair of WJ LCA that I can modify. For a town of 4 1/2 million you would think there would be more late model WJ in the yards - nope. When I told them I was putting them on a MJ they just looked at me funny. Then had to explain what I was trying to accomplish.

Thanks for the help :clapping:

Also found the link below which outlines how to do the modifications as well.

I want some to stiffen up the ride on my commanche. WJ arms with a thicker swaybar and poly bushings should be pretty nice.

Very worthwhile modification. The improved WJ LCA bushings and the thicker V8 swaybar (or one from an XJ Country model) with new bar and end link bushings really tightens up the steering and helps out on body roll.
