wiring trouble

i was wondering if anyone could tell me where i could buy the wire that runs from the starter relay to the alt. the truck has the 2.5L. or could anyone tell me the specs on the diode that is in the wire so i could make the wire?

I don't show that the wire that I understnd you to be looking for is available for purchase seperate from the harness. Here is the diagram that I have...

There's a guy on NAXJA who posts as "5-90" or something like that who sells a heavy duty replacement for that wire, made of welding cable.

 

I don't think there is a diode in that wire, I think it's a fusible link. Go to a marine supply store and buy a 100-amp in-line fuse with screw connections on the ends.

I should be receiving a package from Jon (5-90) tomorrow or the next day :D I will post pictures of the quality of his stuff.....

I bought the set from Jon and don't regret putting down the money for it at all. The cables are mega thick. I know he also sells alternator cables as well.

i have a bad draw. and when i disconnect that wire the draw goes away but i'm not sure if its the wire or if its the starter relay. has anyone heard of this problem?
