Cabz Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I have been told that with a 4.5" lift I can use an 87 YJ front brake line set? Is anyone useing this setup? have you had it flexed all the way with the wheels turned to lock?. I have the stock XJ/MJ lines on it now with the hard line dropped as far as it will go. and if I flex it at all with the wheels turned to lock the ole brake line is as tight as a banjo string. Tanks :D
Cabz Posted June 8, 2006 Author Posted June 8, 2006 What is that? The pic is so bigt it's hard to make out. Is that a rubber brake line?
ROADLESS Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 Its from the front wheel well on sons XJ. The vertical tube is the steel brake line coming from the MC and as you can see, the rubber grommet is pretty shot! Again sorry for the large, um huge pic
DirtyComanche Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 They're 20" long, IIRC. They would probably work. Depends how flexy your crap is. Go get some junkyard ones and see. (Don't knock junkyard brake parts)
Bounty Hunter Posted June 8, 2006 Posted June 8, 2006 I'm running YJ brake lines with 5.5" coils, no problems. I think I pulled the hard lines down a little and refastened them to the chassis.
Cabz Posted June 8, 2006 Author Posted June 8, 2006 Cool, I'll Give the old YJ lines a try , Since I just happen to have a spare set :D
