FLASHBACK Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 oh, ok if i go that route i will just use my stock axel thanks
JeepcoMJ Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 oh, ok if i go that route i will just use my stock axel thanks what stock axle do you have? if it is a dana 35 then the upgrade is worth it. (8.25 is SOOO much more durable)
FLASHBACK Posted June 26, 2008 Author Posted June 26, 2008 I'm sure it is a 35 its a 4cy 2wd. But I'm not really planning a big wheeler. I just figured of it was as esay as bolting the diff in i would do it. I'm probably just gonna do spacers and shackles.
Pete M Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Gearing can be more important to 4 bangers than axle strength. Is your truck a 4speed manual, 5 speed manual or auto?
Pete M Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 Then you should have 4.10 gears. If that's true, stick with it.
Geonovast Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 It's not just the perches, the shock mounts are different too. On the XJ one side is in front of the axle, and the other in back of it. On the MJ both are in back.

Pete M Posted June 26, 2008 Posted June 26, 2008 I owned my LB for a couple years before I noticed it.
