sweet i was gonna buy one when i lifted my mj now i won't thank bro. -
what do you think about this lift?
FLASHBACK replied to f1tbiker6's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
i would do the t-case drop with that much lift. I did a 3" lift on my girlfriends xj and i got some pretty good drive line vibrations. than i put on the t-case drop and it fixed the problem. -
ya old tranny is almost out took all of abot 30 minutes. Iwas pretty pissed about the floor i took the passengerside up first looked nice and cleen. Than i got the nice suprise. oh well can't complain the truck was baisicly free. And made the 2hour drive home with no problems. So i can handle a few quriks along the way.
-
no real progress yet but I'm getting a tranny and t-case this weekend and i have a patch panel cut for the floor.
-
problem solved, i found an ax-5 and a 231 from a 97 tj so looks like I'm staying with a 4cyl. Probably better off that way, gas prices are going crazy up here.
-
oh sorry i have a long bed
-
ok sounds good man i will worry about the drive shaft when i figure out what the hell I'm doing. Thanks for your input Travis
-
and for that i could also find a long bed 4x4 mj and just use that drive shaft correct? or have mine shortend since i have a 2wd
-
ya i know I'm sorry work computer is always on caps
-
YA IT IS AN 88 AND IF WAS TO DO THE SWAP I WOULD SWAP MOTOR TRANYY TCASE AND ALL THAT JAZZ.
-
how easy or hard is a 4.0 swap in to my 4cyl mj i would buy a complete xj to swap from so that would give me harness ecu....... i only wonder if there is alot of fabing like mounts or anything like that. Thanks Travis
-
cool thanks man, now i have more stuff to look for in the junkyard
-
so it is from a 4cy dakota?
-
i was told buy a guy that i can use a dakota bell housing to put an ax-15 on the back of my 2.5 for my 4x4 swap. Any body heard of this?
