  1. My 87 MJ project is almost ready for inspection but my reverse lights are not working. I have tried many things for it to work including changing the bulbs, checked the wire for damages, and checked connections from the switch and at the sockets. I am lost. If someone could point me in a direction that would help I would really appreciate it.
  2. I will finish up the sanding on the body and put on the black doors from the XJ and then I will no longer be able to work on the truck. I started the project in 2015 and then left home for two years, now that I'm home and don't have my own transportation I need to get a car quick to start school. If you search for the "Hawaii Jeeps" you should see most of my build process with this truck. The XJ had 118,000 miles on it, the MJ had 130,000 miles on it. As of right now, it is an empty shell with half of the 2000 XJ body panels on it (I will put the doors on as soon as the new lock pins come in the mail). I am currently sanding down the paint on the comanche panels that was done by the previous owner. I won't paint it since that will allow the buyer to paint it whatever color you would like. I found all the primer, base coat, and clear coat needed here in town priced at $350-$600 depending on the color of the base. I was planning to paint it Silverstone (Late model Cherokee Grey) or Mystic Gold Metallic, (a factory Tacoma color). I have all the Agate interior from the XJ including seats, which are all in great shape. The driver seat has a spot that was rubbed down in the fabric on the left side. I also have brand new extra padded carpet that is charcoal/dark grey colored. I have speakers, wiring, and a small amp for the sound system, (the speakers are brand new Kenwoods). Also I have a role of tint (I believe it's 5%). The original MJ interior panels can be painted Agate to match the XJ vinyl. I bagged up the nuts and bolts for the whole truck and wrote where they went with sharpie. The drive train: 2000 XJ 4.0 litre l6. I have new moog motor mounts, transmission mount, Felpro rear main seal, and Felpro engine gasket set. The transmission is automatic, the transfer case is a Np231 with advance adapters slip yoke eliminator installed professionally. The biggest things that are left on the to-do list include: Fabricate new seat mounts for XJ seats Fabricate or find firewall mounts for gas and brake pedals and get new pedals New front axle (there is only a 2wd axle with no differential in front) Gas tank modifications + fuel pump New paint job If you have any questions or if I left out any important details just let me know. I have a lot invested in the truck and I am asking $3,200 for the whole project. I don't think I can finish it but I would really like to see someone else make it happen. Here are pictures as of now:
  3. Sometimes it is just better to buy something already built. I have wanted a Comanche for a while now and this is almost to the letter what I had in mind building. Couple highlights without going on to much 88 body/chassis with a mix of 88-98 parts Built 4.7 ax-15 ARB front and rear, 4.56 gears 35" tires Warn hubs Roll cage ZJ rear brakes Comanche Club sticker I daily drive this thing. It handles great both on and off road. In the short term a winch and some electrical work. In the long term some body work and paint.

  7. It's breaking my heart, but I'm looking for a new home for my 1988 Comanche Pioneer Shortbed Pickup. It's been in my family since it was born : ) The Details: 164,812 miles (Almost no winter driving, no offroad) Clean Title Automatic 4.0L 2WD Starts, Drives, Has been run on Mobil1 Synthetic Solid Frame Doors, Rockers, Corners Solid Tan Interior, Bench Seat Sliding Rear Window Plastic Bedliner New Brake Master Cylinder, New Hard Brakelines, New Rear Wheel Cylinders, Newer Heavy Duty Front Rotors and Calipers, Front Wheel Bearings Replaced Brakes need bleeding Harmonic Balancer, Bosch Water Pump, Shocks, Motor Mounts, Starter, Valve Cover Gasket, O-ring under OIl Filter have been replaced in the last few years Stock Clutch Cooling Fan has been upgraded to the Heavy Duty Truck was going to be a project, so the Interior has been dissassembled (have all the parts). On the exterior, rubber molding (have most) and original vinyl graphics have been removed. Sanding of the paint had started, so some of the body is in primer. Some minimal light surface rust in those areas. One dented area on the right rear bed edge where my brilliant brother dropped an oak branch. Good Michelin Tires and Stock Aluminum Wheels Have a few boxes of new parts (about $600) that will be included with the truck: Door Lock Cylinders (NIB) Custom Aluminum Expansion Tank (NIB) was 162.48 with shipping New Set of Door Rubber Seals Assorted Sensors : Bosch O2 AC Delco Idle Air Control Valve Standard Engine Coolant Temperature Sender Standard Coolant Temperature Sensor Heater Valve 4 Seasons Side Markers (NIB) Metal and Silicone Head Gasket - hasn't needed it yet Large Piece of Tan Headliner Fabric (From Team Cherokee I think) 2 Bumper Guards 2 NAPA 4G Battery Cables There may be more parts, books & manuals up in my garage attic, I will include everything I can find. There are also a few bins with used parts from junkyard trips. The only things I know are missing are the spare tire and the headliner board. So that's it. I'm looking for $1400 which includes all the new parts. I am located in Revere Pa which is about an hour or so northwest of Philadelphia and 20 minutes south of Easton.
  8. I'm selling my current daily driver to purchase a Cobalt SS and have a legitimate daily driver. The truck is completely stock except it has bfg m/ts on the rear and radial tires on the front. It has the 3.7L V6 and auto transmission, 2wd. It has 119,000 miles on it. It's been used mostly for trips to Illinois and back, so a lot of highway miles and otherwise it was driven by my 55 year old father and some by me as well while my jeeps are under construction. The truck would probably be in between "average" and "clean." The interior is in really good shape except for dirt on the handles, small wear spot in the driver's carpet, and some random dirt/grime in other areas. My father is a mechanic and between jeeps and my sports, it's been dirtied up a bit. The body is clean, with two tiny dents in the passenger door and some small scratches on the body. The bed is the not rough part on the entire truck because it's been heavily used for jeep parts and scrapyard trips as well. It has worn out Bedliner on only the floor of the bed. Otherwise, just typical wear and tear as a 6-year-old truck would have. I tried getting to most of the points I could think of, if I missed something or you want to ask me any questions, feel free to ask me. I dropped the price to 7000 in hopes of a quick sale. You can contact me on here or TEXT 8154090804, I'm in school 5 days of the week and work almost all weekend so texts are much more successful. I also don't have pictures of the truck on my photobucket, so if you text me I can send you the pictures on my phone. Emails will work too, jonathan.stevens777@yahoo.com. I'm located in the lehigh valley, PA.
