I would not even consider buying the four cylinder. My dad has the 2.8 six in his 85' xj and it is a joke for power, sure gets good gas milage though. I will sick with my 4.0. Even if this guys truck had a full resto it wouldnt be worth that much.

I don't know about a gladiator but now that they have the four door JK. I would love to see another scrambler with removable top and doors. If I had photo shop I would mock one up, becouse I think they would look sweet. My buddy has a four door JK and I firmly believe a hemi could fit in it easily.

If I make it into a trail buggy I will not want the bed anyway. It is in good enough condition to make into a trailer :brows:

Actually the chief did hold up very well, I am considering taking the sawzall to the cab and cutting it off. Making a cage on it removing the bed and making a trail buggy. Everyting works on it still. After the towing co. put it in my drive way I started it up and turned it around in my driveway seems to do fine! One tough little truck :bowdown:

This is my first post so I guess I better start with a pic of my first Comanche, a 88' chief shortbed with the 4.0L 4x4 and dana 44 rear. Sadly though coming down a mountain road some assgoblin was in the middle of the road around a tight corner gawking at something and my manche bounced right off his neons bumper and off the road and over onto its top :cry: [/img]
