  1. just a heads up. if you guy plan on running a front locker with your CAD front axle you might run into some problems if not done properly. first off the vacuum disconnect will have to always be engaged when in 2 wheel drive. the reason for this is because if you do otherwise one side of locker will spin constantly while you drive, meaning it will eventually wear the teeth off of one side of the locker. you could still put a vacuum switch on it if you want to disengage the front end to help you turn while your in four wheel drive. i leave mine engaged all the time with a front locker and never have any problems on the street as long as the jeep is in two wheel drive. even on the trail turning isnt to bad, but i did install a tera two-low kit so i have 2wd low range to take the load off of the locker so i can make tighter turns on the trail.
  2. here is the other one
  3. here are some pics of my oil catch bottle that i made for my four cylinder. i put a second hose on that runs back to the air cleaner and it now works properly. thanks guys! IMG][/img]
  4. i tried putting a catch bottle on my four cylinder to help the blow by issue yesterday. did you put some sort of vent in your bottle? cause after a short trip down the road i noticed it smelled like i was burnin oil. i popped the hood and noticed it was now pushing oil out of my oil fill cap. so for now i put a hole in the top of my bottle for a vent. the only problem with this is that it pushes what seems to be oil smoke out of my vent now, so it smells like i am burning oil. Any ideas?

  9. i know this is a little backwards for most of you guys but has anyone ever put a comanche bench seat in the front of an xj? how hard would it be to do the swap? i kno the e-brake handle would need to be moved. how different are the floors in xjs and mjs?

  12. I swapped a waggy front end on to my '85 XJ which was a simple bolt on swap of the header panel. the waggy wiring harness plugged right in but it required some very minor modification. your mj is looking good [/img]Comanche Club Image Hosting
  13. i would do a sway bar in the front and none in the rear. with just a rear one it will try to lift the inside rear tire in corners, whereas a front sway bar will keep the rear tires planted
