  1. uum ... let see 4.5 inch coils in the front with 1 3/4 spacers i believe and I'm guessing 5 to 6 in leaves in the rear they remain under the axle ... stock shackles... it runs like a dream on the expressway I'm surprised for it being so tall.... :D ....lemme know JohnQ I'm from Texas too :brows:
  2. thnx bud exactly what i needed ...mines an automatic so ill probably go 4:56....thnx alot ..now those numbers are city? or highway or both..?
  3. Yes sir that is exactly what i am doing ... i was just being a curious george and wondering what sort of effects i would have mpg wise when switching gears in terms of numeric gains..i know what gears i need and suit my drivability best already for ive done all the mathematical calculations .other than just pure knowledge of jeeping . i was just looking for a real world view as in someone who might already have the setup of 35 and 4:56 gears..and see where they were numerically wise in mpg...i know I'm not going to get 10 more mpg but just curious if any other manche owner has has a ny experience with th e setup....cheers...any info is greatly appreciated...
  4. here's my baby....My first truck....I'm a 16 year old jeepfreak....hence my love for my manche and jeeps in general..have been around jeeps since birth and know a fair deal about them.... pops has gone through 25+ jeeps so ive got to know them pretty well...but still learning thnx to all you nice folks ... i love this site for it doesnt have all this flaming nonsense just clean jeep fun... enough typin here's my toy 1989 manche swb 4x4 4.0 automatic column shift has about 5.5 in lift...35's M/T MTZ's...for know gearing is stock on the original 30/35 but the rear is lincoln welded...I'm already looking into putting gears on it...like in 2 weeks ..the engine is stock except for a cheapo air intake..mustang injectors...and a flowmaster exhaust..oh the truck has virtually no rust!!!
  5. If mpg is anywhere in your head, you probably should be sticking with 235s. But regardless, with 35s you should contemplating 4.56 or 4.88s. The deeper the gearing, the better. haha yes i know but i was just wondering since i am in the process of buying gears ....i wanted to see what kind of change i would see mpg wise...since I'm only getting but about 10 mpg right now (city)...any info would be great...
