  1. Why would my fuel pump stop working all of a sudden, when it was working fine before the fuel leak?
  2. I can't hear the fuel pump cut on and I only got a couple squirts of gas out of the pressure test valve. I checked the fuel pump ballast resistor and there was corrosion all on the connections (ill be cleaning and refreshing the fuel pump ground tomorrow) but it seems like I hardly have any pressure. The truck was still trying to fire. I'm going to also test spark tomorrow. It started raining today. Do you guys think its my fuel pump?
  3. its kinda weird how i got a set that looks like those orange ones (65$ off ebay?) And my truck won't start...
  4. The fuel rail was a b**** to get back on... is that normal?
  5. I kept all of my plugs in until it wouldn't start. Then I removed one to see if it had gas on it but I immediately put it back on so there was no confusion.
  6. I'm almost positive the CPS is fine because it cranked right up a week ago when I found the leak. Ill test the spark though. Ive heard that if a engine floods then the spark plugs may not fire right even after they're dry. Is this true? Do I test the pressure with just a normal tire gauge? It looks like one would work, is why I ask. Tomorrow will be a nice day of tests, it seems.
  7. Still won't start... Give me everything that could make it not start after new fuel injectors, please. During installation I got lost on the 3rd and 4th fuel injector plugs, but connected them and was pretty sure I had them right, could having them wrong make it not start? It sounds like a couple pistons are firing, but not enough to turn it over. Do I need to arc the spark plugs off of something and make sure I have spark? I know my fuel punp is good, it never failed before. Just give me a list, guys. Thanks
  8. Just checked. Its connected and the hose is fine. I'm gonna leave it until tomorrow and try again. Maybe the gas will dissapear and itll fire. I just want to drive my truck, seriously lol.
  9. I pulled a spark plug and it was wet with gas. There was alot of carbon buildup in the engines fuel injector ports, which I cleaned out and a good bit of it fell in the engine. And all of my vacuum harness was connected right. Tps and iac were plugged in as well. I think it just needs to let the gas dissipate. It started right up everytime before the injector started leaking and I had to get these new ones.
  10. Caps? There were no caps, I think. I could see the four little holes on the tip and the big hole on the fuel rail end.
  11. New injectors are in, new throttle cable too. Went to crank it and it started for a split second and died. Now it won't even try. I think its flooded cause I smell gas. No injectors are leaking at all. What should I do guys? Please help!
  12. I figured he didn't know what he was talking about. He got very defensive when I asked if he knew anyone with a Hunter Balancer, wouldn't even tell me if he knew a shop that would have one.
  13. Fuel injectors are almost in. But... while tightening a bolt, I slipped and broke a plastic piece of the throttle wire (i think thats what it is?) Its the cable coming from the cab that connects to the lever that then splits into a pole which moves the butterfly valve in the throttle body. I broke the plastic casing around a spring? Where can I get this, how muchdoes it cost, and whats it called? It sucks not getting to crabk my truck once I get the new injectors in
  14. Could definitely be that. Was talking to them in the shop so it was loud. The guy even told me that tire balance has no chance of causing wobble in the front end, but I know that it does because new tires fixed my wobble for a little bit until they got wore in.
  15. I ordered the 65$ set. They're only GenII instead of GenIII like the 90$ ones, but still 4-hole quality refurbished. And the seller had 100% positive feedback.
  16. I'm going to order them later. Looking forward to throttle response, actually :D
  17. Is that 90$ for the full set? I was figuring they would be that much apiece. Was there any sign of better gas mileage or power after the swap? I may take some scrap metal just to get them. So many things just keep happening with my truck and I'm running out of money to spend :/ Life of having a old Jeep to fix up.
  18. Well looks like tomorrow will be a fun day, then :D lets hope on it just being the o-ring. I'll keep ya'll posted on how it turns out
  19. Do the steel clips that connect the fuel injectors to the rail stay on the injectors or the fuel rail? How do I safely clean the injectors? The leak is definetely where the injector connects to the rail, the lower part of the injector is dry. If its not the O ring then Ill find a junkyard injector to get me through.
  20. I believe that mine is just an o-ring. Because I remember when I first bought the truck, that I bumped this same injector, and is started a small spray. But when I twisted it back to it's original position it was fine, until now. Where can I get a o-ring and how do I change it? I would rather try this before buying a used set just in case. I planned on upgrading to 703's when I got a job and everything else worked out on the truck. Thanks
  21. Walked beside my truck today, was about to test drive after doing an alignment. And smelled gas real bad in the engine bay. What I found was a soaked fuel injector (the third from the front of the engine) it seems to be coming from the part where the fuel injector connects to the fuel rail. I can't afford a new injector set right now, so what can I do and how do I do it?
  22. Is there a quarter window version of '97+ doors? I've actually never seen one.
  23. I'm doing my own alignment tomorrow (gotta love being able to do things decently yourself!) And I talked to the shop that balanced my brothers tires before it started wobbling again, they said they had a Coax balancer. And also said that since its lifted that its probably alignment of the camber? I'm going to check his actual tie rod alignment tomorrow and may research the correct camber degree for the lift (even though I don't know the maker of the lift or how high, havent been able to measure) my dad adjusted his camber a long time ago, and he didn't know much about Jeeps. So that may be it. What you guys think? (Hunter balancer idea is still being worked out )
  24. Perfect! I know what I'm getting soon as I have money. Thanks alot man
  25. Oh wow those are alot cheaper than I expected, thanks! But I'm not sure if they have the quarter window connected seal that I need. I think its the "front glassrun quarter window seal" though. I wish they had better pictures and a better description of the application.
