  1. Yea, I suppose thats my decision. I'll just clean it up as much as I can and stay with SUA. Thanks again for your input guys.
  2. well, I have no problem messing with leafs and all that stuff. I'm not really going for lots of flex and stuff, this truck is going to be mostly on road. I still want it to be decently capable though.
  3. sounds cool, what year exploder should I gank the leafs from?
  4. I would be doing the conversion on a D44.
  5. well, I have 3 inches of lift now, I bought my truck that way. I think its just shackles. but I want to convert because I hate the way the shock mounts hang down so low. is there any way to use anything from an xj ?
  6. Hey, I want to do a SOA conversion but I'm trying to achieve 3 inches. Any ideas?
  7. If that is it then thats really cool. It was an option from the factory but like nobody got it, look in your manual, the options are pictured in the back. Such as that brushguard and the winch bumper. I'd like to buy it if you ever decided to sell it haha
  8. That thing looks like its from an avalanche :teehee: But is that the stock brushguard! (drool)
  9. no, it was just really tuff to turn by hand. But hitting the ears with a hammer seated the joints up real nice.
  10. No, the ones i got were some other crappy thing. Maybe ear tapping is the term for it, but I just heard if you hit like the area around the joint it will center itself and your good to go. I'm gonna give that a shot tomorrow.
  11. Anybody replace thier u-joints lately? I just replaced mine with some basic ones from auto zone and I'm hoping it wasnt a mistake. They are verry tight, it would almost appear that they are too long. I'm wondering if they will just break in and be fine or if I'll have to take them out and put in genuine spicer ones. I havent driven it yet because I was replacing them while I swaped my friends peugeot tranny in, and its not all ready to go yet(plus now i need to replace the rear main seal). Yes, I swapped a peugeot tranny in. My AX-15 had like major problems, the peugeot is just temporary. So if anybody has run into this problem I could use the info before I drive it. thanks.
  12. well yeah that works, but i dunno, its just nice to have those threads like saved into your like profile or control pannel. plus that only sends a notification in your email. then you have to either go back through the forums or do a search to get back to the thread. It just makes for instant access, I can live without it, just somthing that would be nice.
  13. My bad, I forgot to sign in.
  14. Hey, My cat and my fuel filter are brand new. so they arent the cause of this. This kinda stinks, I thought at least sombody would share this problem. Also, the problem is not occuring at high rpm's its goin on whenever i step on the pedal regardless of my rpm. Another thing to consider is that its a manual, I don't think i have that many sensors.
  15. somewhere between jeepforum and seeing petes mj on cardomain.
  16. Hey thats some good info, thanks. I think that it leans because whenever the throttle is wide it almost refuses to accelerate(opposite of what I expect to happen). There is a hesitation then it just feels as if there isnt enough fuel being supplied to match the ammount of air. Also partially because Ive read that about the 4.0 in an article comparing it to the v6 that comes in the new JK. The writeup mentioned that that was one of the downfalls of the mighty 4.0. don't get me wrong, I wouldnt have any other engine over the 4.0. And I think I will replace my O2 sensor.
  17. Ok, so why does the 4.0 lean out at wide open throttle? and also why, when its warmed up does it not pickup as well as it does when its cold. I have a 91 and it is the high output, and also does not have an electric fan. I don't know if those things have anything to do with that. I'm somewhat aware that these are known of problems but I would like to fix them, so any help would be good. thanks...
  18. I tried to swap seats from an xj with the curved brackets. Man was that a nightmare. Good news to hear that the straight ones will fit though. Does anybody know how easy it would be to mount cj seats on my mj brackets, cuz my boss has a pair out of his jeep and they're nice.
  19. I love those special service tsl's, I was thinking about getting those. they look great!
  20. That sherman site is awsome! Thanks. Okay, I'll watch for your update.
  21. Does anybody know where to get new rocker panels. So far I can't find any for the manche. Mine are rusted out and trashed, am I just gonna have to fab in my own replacements?
  22. haha, sorry I used your pic, I realized soon after I had it up that it was the same truck I saw on petes picturetrail. Great shot! So now my own truck is my avitar. I gotta get me one of them decals. PM sent.
  23. Thanks, I think I'm gonna go with a swap from a wrangler. just to clarify, they are SOA stock right?
  24. the front is what your referenceing, the 44 right? (btw your truck looks nice) This is a new idea, how well do wrangler axles go up to mj's, width wise. I'm not really worried about the other stuff, it seems you pretty much have to customize any axle to get it in there. I'd be converting to soa too so I dunno if they already are or what.
  25. ah... thanks for clearing that up holler, I'll take a gander. btw who makes good spacers?
