  1. Could you have used: -MJ main -Explorer main -Explorer #2 -Explorer #3 - MJ overload and MJ retention bands The MJ has 2x4 springs on the back and MJ#3 are broke on both sides. I have the choice to get Explorer, XJ or more MJ-2x4 springs this weekend and not sure which way to go? Thanks, Charles
  2. Well I am going to the 50% off sale at Pick & Pull in the morning. Want to get some items for the MJ. What brake valve from the XJ should I get? Photos would be good. The Ford drive shaft only came with the front plate and no u-jount holder. Will the u-joint holder off another explorer work on the MJ u-joint? Will the axle u-bolts off an Explorer be long enough for the MJ? Thanks, Charles
  3. Any difference between the front DS on 2.5 vs 4.0 ? And how about auto vs AX4 / AX5? The local Pick & Pull has a 50% off already low prices sale this weekend. Thought I could pick up a front DS cheep but all are autos and think most are 4.0. Charles
  4. Well got the Ford axle with everything on it for $70. The rotors will need cleaned but what a deal. They also sold my the front axle for $30 as the had pulled some parts off one side  Charles
  5. Thanks they both are around 71,000. Looks Like i will pick up 2 axles this week  Charles
  6. Anyway to tell from the vin # what it has. The two that I am looking at are the following: 1999 6 cly Explorer w/ 3.55 rear axle 2000 6 cly Explorer w/ 3.55 rear axle Charles
  7. If you replace the rear D35 axle on you MJ what is a good one to get. Noticed the local yard has some Ford 3.55 rear axles out of mid to late 90's Explorers for $69 Charles
  8. Got some more work done on the front to open up the front wheels. Got to do some work on the 6.2 in my truck this week but going to put in the new axle on the front this weekend if time will allow. The cut made.
  9. holeski That is one NICE bumper set up. Wish we could get something like that for the MJ. Charles
  10. Thanks, Got to get 90 for the ranger today. I will just get extra. Charles
  11. What type of fluid and how much will the D35 take? Charles
  12. I have been trying to get on at Auto Zone / Advance Auto PT so I can get some MJ $$$ :D Never get a call or anything, went in 2 weeks ago to get some brake line for my daughters Olds and the new guy at the counter looked at me and said " I get the manger so I do not screw this up" he!! just point to where you keep the line and fittings in the back and I will find it  Charles And forgot, I had to walk the manager through what I needed :headpop:
  13. Very true, I live in the country near a small town but work in the big city  Charles
  14. Alex As someone who works in Security for the State of Ohio I can tell you that Cameras are not like what you see on TV and would be of little use. First at night you need a good day / night camera which will set you back about 6-7 Gs. Then you need someone to watch the camera that is trained, not a 9.00 hr guard. Then your ticket would cost about $25 to cover the cost  Someone good with a lock jock can pop the lock faster then you can unlock with a key and have you radio out in under 3 min  or just take the whole car in under 2min :D Charles
  15. In Columbus they just smash out the window when they want something  After 18yrs working in mall management I do not lock my car / truck so they can just open the door and I can keep warm and dry on the drive home :D I rember one day at the mall when a guy ran up to me and told me his Z-28 had been stolen  He told me that he set the alarm and it should not have been gone, I told him his alarm was working fine as they drove by me, I could here it all the way out of the lot and down the road  Charles
  16. Where are you located? If close to central Ohio you can bring it over to my place and we can put it up on the lift and se what we can do for you. Charles
  17. Sounds like it's getting worn. Pull the cable and lube it, have the same problem with the speedo in my Capri and have to lube it every other month. Charles
  18. Axle less rotors and calipers :D Charles
  19. Thanks, I thought I could get a cheep front drive shaft, but I have a 2.5 w/ AX-4 and the 3 2.5's they had were autos  They did have have the front axles priced at $89 each, but the other local yard has one for $20 less and they will pull it :D Charles
  20. I was at the local pick&pull yesterday to get something for my daughter's Olds and took a walk back to the truck area. They had a TJ, 3 - ZJ's and about 6 XJ's. Are the ZJ's front axle the same as a MJ? It looked like the ZJ and a couple XJ's had a larger front axle? Also is the front drive shaft the same on autos and manuals?? Everything except the TJ was auto  Charles

    Gas Tank Fun

Some tanks that are not coated or had a bad coating will rust from the inside out from water in the fuel and condensation if the tank is not kept full all the time. Just replaced my daughters tank in her 91 Olds that rusted from the inside out. A lot of bikes do not have coated tanks and water will get down in the low areas and rust through in just a couple years. Had my 01 ZG1000 rust through in 4yrs  Charles
  22. If anyone is interested in it, the zip is about 2 miles away from work ;) But someone will have to go with me to translate :D Charles
  23. It has been removed  What did I miss  Charles
  24. This thing came with a bed full of trash and a funk smell inside that has not went away yet ;) But it did not cost me anything  Yet  Charles
  25. I know this is a dumb question, but when you do the CAD fix will the lock both front wheels together like a locker or just run power to the wheel with the most traction? Thanks, Charles
