lol i have never had that much trouble :wrench:

well depends how bad the studs are but if you can get a nut on them you can double nut them and back them out( you run one nut on all the way to the base and then another up to that one and tighten the two nuts together and then you should be able to back the studd out using the first nut) sounds weird but it works. or if you have a studd tool, which I'm guerssing you don't...

just an internal slave
-
first off, its an internal slave :headpop: but i know the clutch is good the guy i bought it from replaced it before i bought and i know the guy that put it in so i know its a good clutch and the guy does good work :chillin: but I'm thinkin i might actual pull my engine out nto do it.. i need to do my head ghasket( seeps oil) and i figured it wouldnt be a bad idea to roll some bearings in the bottom end since the other day i ran low on oil as in just below the add line and that f***ing engine started knocking so yeah time for bearings. you guys are talkin not getting cheap slaves but the only ones I'm finding are right around or less than 100??

rear diff. problem, possibly?
Dan.Keppel replied to Dan.Keppel's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
it happens under load in first gear but not when down shifting. its not my exhaust, its not even close to touching. and its not my fan, changed that out to an eletric one. havent really noticed it at all in any other gear. its not something just taping on the cross member its in a perfect spaced out rythem like teeth on a gear hitting. :headpop: -

-DEFINATLEY GONNA CHECK THE AXLE -ALL MOUNTS ARE IN "OK" SHAPE NOT TORN BUT OLD, THOSE ARE GETTIN REPLACED ASAP -U JOINTS ARE GOOD -?? IF IT WHERE A RING GEAR WOULDNT I FEEL MY TRUCK ALMOST SKIP A BEAT WHEN IT HIT THE MISSING TOOTH??? -
OK SO MY TRUCK IS MAKING A WEIRD ALMOST RATCHETING NOISE WHEN I PULL OFF A STOP WITH MY FOOT IN IT  (I'm NOT SCARED OF THE SKINNY PEDAL) AND GOES AWAY AND THEN WHEN I SHIFT INTO SECOND IT DOES IT FOR LIKE ONE OR TWO CLICKS AND GOES AWAY :hmm: . SADLY ANOUGH HAVE NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON. I WAS WONDERING IF SOME OF THESE TRUCKS MAY HAVE COME WITH A FACTORY LIMITED SLIP AND MAYBE THAT IS GOING BAD OR MY TRANNY IS ABOUT TO BLOW... MY TRUCK IS A 89 4CYL 4SPD 2WD, don't KNOW EXACTLY WHAT TRANS OR REAR END I HAVE THOUGH..IF YOU GUYS KNOW HOW TO READ VIN CODES MY VIN IS 1JTHS6412JT251359 . THEY WAY IT SOUNDS ITS GOTTA BE SOMETHING SPINNING. MY EXHAUST ISNT TOUCHING ANYTHING AND IVE CHECKED ALL MY BUSHING IN MY FRONT END TO SEE IF SOMETHING IS CONTACTING UP FRONT AND NOTHING.. GONNA CHECK MY DIFF. NEXT, THE COVER LEAKS ANYWAYS

i put my headliner back in after being out for well over a month while i tryed many times to get fabric to glue to it.. :fs1: . and then installed my interior peices that i painted gray so i wouldnt have a blue truck with a blue interior? kinda ugly i thought but yeah like it really matters what color the interior is.

you have it correct until you threw the "code" stuff in. so what one worked lol? hella confused... :hateputers:

Love the forum its been very helpful. I have a 89 2.5L 2wheel drive thats on its way to being a 4x4. couple small questions, does anyone make a header for the 2.5 thats also CA smog legal? And I'm randomly having starting issue that seems to clear up when i bleed the fuel line like I'm getting a air bubble in the fuel line. And also what would be my best option cost wise with my transmission transfercase combo?? i would be interested in swapping in the 6cyl but ive been very happy with 4cyl. the more advice the better please. /I'm all ears. ill get some pics up asap. so far ive done 4in lift front a nd rear swapped in an electric fan and hacked up the exhaust to fit a flowmaster. couldnt be much happier :clapping: :jump: :jump:
