  11. You gotta love Jeeps..... I finally found the culprit behind the oil leak after replacing the valve cover, oil filter, and rear main seals. Since everything was dry as a bone, the trail led directly to...... drum roll......... the "Distributor".... Good thing that this is an easy fix.... I will update with pics once I'm done.
  12. Done with the rear main seal.
  13. Yep! It's a Zuk.... At least the hood and what remains of the tub. :rotfl2: The cable shifter upgrade is the best mod on my MJ. Half way done with the rear main seal replacement. All that remains is putting everything back together and filling it back up with some Mobil Uno.
  14. Had a great time today testing six months of work on a light trail. The fenders will definitely need to be trimmed.
  15. Why not... I decided to replace everything on the front end as well. Now I can start working on my buggy again since the MJ is practically all done. :peek:
  16. I personally don't think that disk brakes make that much of a difference on a vehicle that is light weight and is mostly used on road. Cost is one of the main drivers behind the build of this vehicle. In regards to what I do... I work for the Government and build / modify / sale 4X4's as a hobby.
  17. One of the emergency brake lines locked up (rusted) and wore down the drivers side brakes, so I installed a new set of lines and brake shoes. Other than the engine (135K), I think everything on this vehicle has now been restored. :wrench:
  18. Here is how I towed mine when I purchased it.
