  1. that's funny, My sisters got a neon, it's quick, and it feels like your dragging your butt on the ground it's so low. And a bug you say? Driven one, as well as my brothers 70 Karmann Ghia. Great cars, really pushing the limit at 60mph. I've also driven a 2.5l in a wrangler. It's a slug. It's incredible what 2 more pistons in the 4.0 can do. that funny my 1st car was a 1960 karmann ghia...I still have it...24yrs later.. I was looking at your engine pics and I had a 86 Comanche and it had a serpentine belt not v belts.. weird..
  2. when you put 97+ doors on how do you wire all the electrics up? idk if there was a trick or just put power to them
  3. ditto... keithnunya@yahoo.com if you wouldn't mind...
  4. thanks just random thought when I saw them...
  5. I have never been but there is a besslers pull your parts in Louisville, I go to the besslers in nky, they have a web site for both places.. if you go let me know if its any good.. have some stuff I'm looking for but wasn't sure about going if wasn't good there.
  6. I was at the jy and didn't have a tape measure but they looked longer but I have no idea. just curious
  7. that can't be a junk yard in KY it is way to flat.... lol
  8. I was just looking at http://www.f-o-a.com/ they have really good tech and are way cheap for a race shock.. and the 2.5 are same as the rusty price wise but they are hiem mounted not rubber so not sure how that on a daily driver
  9. hard to say.. I know nothing about the rx300, but I do know some about shocks.. rebuildable ones.. fox, sway-away, king, kuster and so on.... if it is a rebuildable shock, it should be revalveable... so as long as it doesn't leak oil not sure how they could be a bad shock for that money.. I would wonder about there costumer support in rebuilding and so on.
  10. but, does the offset change on all the different wheels? i don't know..i just know that we have ran both size tires and about every make of 235/75/15 on it before the new tires and never rubbed on a 96 xj with the stock country wheels that look like spider web einki wheels
  11. what rims? my dad has a 96 county xj and it has never rubbed with 235/75/15 and just installed 30/9.50/15 and they have not rubed yet.. it stock so maybe has to a lot with rim offset
  12. try the thermostat maybe, I run a 180..
  13. they won't rub, we just put some 30/9.50/15 on my dads xj and they don't rub either with stock wheels
  14. from what I read you used to be able to really make some power out of the iron duke
  15. its not you can Wikipedia iron duke 4 motor and the amc 2.5 there not the same, I believe there the same bell housing but not engine... the iron duke is 151 c.i and amc is 150 c.i . I could be wrong .
  16. that would be nice, pictures make a world of a difference on stuff like this
  17. hey nice build, I'm an hour east of Louisville near the nascar track in sparta
  18. I had a 84 cherokee chief 2.5 5 spd and it had cvs in the front axle Probably either the shafts were swapped in, or the whole axle was swapped. Do you remember if it was an HP or LP? AFAIK, XJs never came with CV joints other than on the front driveshaft 84-86.
  19. you can get titles if you do some research.. but should be neat when he is done
  20. should be neat when your done but not sure why you started out with a semi clean truck...they only made so many comanches
  21. I'm not far from you, I am by the nascar track... what are you going to do with the old motor and parts? I have a 89 2.5 4x4 short bed 5 spd I'm messing with.. also a 2000 Cherokee I want to convert to 4x4... so just always on the look out for parts I need
  22. hey what year is the donor xj? is it 4 wheel drive?
