Buddy of mine found a screwdriver that was so rusted it was barely recognizable under the floorboards of his old xj

Mine didnt come with a radio..its been driving since ~jan and i still havent put one in it...kinda waiting till i figure out all the noises it makes. They usually tell me when something breaks so i don't destroy it. Someday though ill get around to puttin it in. i know how that is, my dad's old 89 s10 blazer made a lot of noises and he knew what broke when and where cause of the noise, but i do want a radio cause they're a lotta other drivers that crank their radio up with music i don't like so blockin out their music is a plus, Redwolf That right there is the biggest reason i want one! And its nice if you have extra speakers to make removeable boxes, set em on the bed, and be a bonfire dj

Thanks for that pic! I do like the razor alot too, gives it a "solid" look to the front end

Thats what i figured it was...the one thing i need practice on too  Not sure what I'm gonna do now...cousin blew up the motor on his 01 24valve ram yesterday...hit a valve with a piston. He was my means of getting around once i made it to denver...so we'll see what happens

Man kinda glad someone else has already done it. takes some guess work out of the process. Originally got the idea from detoursusa's xj build, the rolling felony, on cherokee forum. he did tube fenders up front, wrapped the tube around the grill, and put on circle headlights up front. don't want all that, but thought it would be cool to tie fenders into the frame/bumpers EDIT Pics related, detoursusa rolling felony I just want mine to be an exo, since no room for internal in the mj without some serious modding that I'm not ready to get into...but his fenders/front end originally gave me the idea

Down at our lake house this weekend, been a while since i've been down, got the idea to check local craigslist, and i found THIS. I so wish i could justify it right now, so clean. I've never seen one this nice before (except on google images when i daydream, of course). Please, keep your drooling to a minimum, your keyboards thank you. Original ad-http://loz.craigslist.org/cto/3827488484.html Pics, because I'm a nice guy and won't make you all click the link unless you want the bare minimum specs the seller supplied Oh, and if anybody just really has to have this, I am 100% open to driving it from here to wherever you are :brows:

That's the raised eyebrow that says "I don't give a penetration" DUDE! THAT 'stache!

wtf is wrong with his drivers headlight? :huh???:

Either way some great work...just a curiosity, how much time do you think you had in just building it, no paint?

Seems to be different every part of the country...don't go there for anything major..usually just oil, gaskets, hoses, etc. The guys at my local oreillys know me pretty well now, always help me out when I'm trying to make something work. Last time I was in an autozone, the female (can't call her a lady) behind the counter kept insisting that the fuel injector she was trying to sell me was an EGR valve for my tbi350....and wouldnt pay attention when i tried to explain what i needed because she was too busy flrting with some dude who walked in. Theyre manager didnt help any. Havent been in one since.

Something about the top bar, and the fenders just makes it look "right" to me

Doesnt look like a 44? :dunno: Real clean 97+ swap though, I like it!

Damn mnkyboy you do good work. That cage looks awesome, and I never say awesome.   Does look darn good..and I don't like yotas, or exo cages!

Ew. autzone? I always go to oriellys...but then i imagine the parts are all from the same manufacturer. I'd try rock auto

So glad I already have a random carb lying around and access to all the materials and equipment necessary to make it work...saves me the trouble of buying stuff :D

Out in UT, its 16 hour shifts, 2 weeks on, 2 off, rig hands starting at $28/hr. Seems worth it to me? If you can handle the 16 hour shifts, absolutely! Let's do some math: 7x16= 112 hours 40x28= $1,120 (regular time) 72x42= $3,024 (overtime) =$4,144/WEEK. So, $8,000 before taxes in 2 weeks, and then you have two weeks to blow it. You could build your manche, buy another as trail rig, buy a tow rig and a trailer, and well  EDIT: Excuse me if my math is off. Been a while. Graveyard and living off minimal sleep doesn't help. :rotf: The math is the first thing i did when i got the details...if/when i get up there I'll be on the lookout for a first or second gen Ram250/2500, 4x4 cummins 6spd...for a tow rig and a dd, buy a small trailer, make it into a mobile welding/fab rig, hitch up and go make some more $$ on the off weeks, then buy a bigger trailer, get my mj out there, and build it up!

I saw a guy on cherokeeforum about 4 or 5 years ago who put an xj on a modified chevy 1500 frame with a 5.7, don't recall how it turned out... Someone should go check it out, I'm curious as to how he attached the frame to the mj
