I have a 89 Comanche that is 2wd and I am converting to four wheel. Here is the issue I have a 95 cherokee that I am using the auto and the transfer case. What wiring troubles am I going to have and what is the remedy.

The rear axle in out mjs r spring under and cherokees are spring over can you just bolt the 8.25 spring over on or mjs using factory spring i see that the shock mounts would need to be changed what else would need to be done.

Well found this really clean 95 and had to have it. It threw a rod out the bottom of the motor but other than that it is really nice. So the plans are to put the doors on for power windows and locks. Change out my blue interior to the ultra clean gray interior out of the Cherokee. Got a three inch lift coming it will be here Wednesday. Ok now the fun part Taking all the drive train out to make my MJ 4 wheel drive hell ya. Note my MJ is standard and going with the auto thats in the Cherokee. I officially got the parts jeep home and the wife can not believe that i am going to strip it o well. I will do the front firsts and then start on the dash changing it from blue to gray and then the seats and console. Then the 4wd swap i have the manual trans that was in it but it lost a few gears so I am going to take my 2wd manual and have the output shafts changed.

:wrench: Took the front end off the bumper mount on the driver side was smashed in so i cut it out. Getting ready for the new parts from the very clean 1989 jeep Cherokee that I picked up today. So now I can convert mine to 4wd when i get a manual 4wheel drive trans. GOT LUCKY FINDING A WHITE ONE

thank you for your answers looks like i need a 4wd trans the Cherokee that i am getting is 4wd and my truck is not but the trans is bad in the cherokee so I can rebuild mine with that output shaft?

What is the difference between a 2 wheel manual trans and a 4 wd manual trans. like adaptability.
