-Update- Started working on the AGR Ram Assist. We have the new steering box in and working on finishing up the mounts for the cylinder. We found this to be a must-have after fighting aired-down 40s on a locked axle with the stock steering gear. I also grabbed a shot of the reworked front grill area for those who haven't seen it. The color matched grill makes a world of difference and the Rigid 30" light bar isn't to shabby either. Had someone at some point ask about the exhaust through the bed. Grabbed a picture of that too. Oh, I got ahold of the photobucket account too so I can direct link pictures now. Better late than never I suppose. Let me know if you have anything you are interested in seeing and I will do my best to get some pics up.

All my vehicles average out to 14 yrs and I am ok with that because they are all paid for!

They probably used builder's grade siding which is way too thin (usually in the 0.038-0.040 range). Should use 0.044 or thicker. If that area was fitted too tight to the corner trim and/or nailed too tight it could buckle like that with moderate temperature change over time. The thinner stuff will expand and contract a lot more with temperature change.

Thanks everybody. It is still a work in progress and will be back out on the show/trail ride circuit next season for people wanting to see it in person. I will try to get a couple "as is" pictures up for you to see. From the pictures above the most obvious changes have been color-matching the grill and adding the Rigid Ind. LED light bar on the front bumper. Also, we gave you a little shout-out on our Blog to let everyone know to stop by your site for a visit. Thanks again for the recognition. http://zoneoffroad.com/blog/?p=2221

Nothing at the moment. We have been busy finishing up all our other lines with 2012 model year test fits. We own a half dozen trucks so they all need attention here and there as well. On tap for the winter months when we get a free hoist and manpower will be to finally get the rear Anti-rock sway bar installed. We also have an AGR Rock Ram setup we need to install. The stock steering box did not like fighting aired-down 40s on a locked front axle. We also have plans to finally get some MJ suspension lift listings put together. We did get the MJ out a few weeks back after returning from SEMA. We took it down the road to the local Career Center to show off during there open house. http://zoneoffroad.com/blog/?p=2165 Also, for those interested, the 2011 UA DVDs are in. We have them for sale on our website. http://zoneoffroad.com/product-acc?ca=27&su=200

Sorry Jason, somehow I missed your question. The WMS measurements on both are 65.4" (stock JK). We are running a Mickey Thompson 17x9 Sidebitter with 5" BS. Also, we are back at it again, prepping for SEMA. http://zoneoffroad.com/blog/?cat=188 Hopefully this time around we will be able to touch of some of the details you guys were hoping to get when we first started the build.

Would not have been able to tell you if I wanted to. The only thing we knew was where we were starting. Meaning they told us what hotel to meet at and that was pretty much it. That is one of the main points of the UA...You pretty much just have to follow Pewe where ever he goes and every day is a surprise trip. One of the many reasons it is the "Ultimate Adventure". You can always buy the DVD and see the whole trip in the comfort of your LazyBoy.

Still working great. It is in Indianapolis right now at the 30th Annual 4-Wheel Jamboree Nationals http://zoneoffroad.com/blog/?p=1959&utm ... ad+Blog%29 . Other than a ball joint problem on the first trail of the UA the front axle is holding up just fine. The first of the magazine articles for the UA are in the current issue of Peterson's 4wheel and offroad for those of you that get that mag. I think Carter still plans on doing a final writeup of the overall project, just have to wait on all the mag coverage to be released. We have also been insanely busy with the final part of the summer show season and prepping for SEMA is next. Just keep checking back on our Blog for new stuff about the MJ and everything else Zone Offroad. If anything specific about the MJ comes up I will post up here. Oh, and about selling it, I will keep you in mind in about 2 yrs when we get rid of this for the next project. :D

What's the most miles you got from a full tank?
Zone Offroad replied to Jerry's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I think we might have squeezed 140-150 miles out of our 15gal fuel cell so far. That is turning 40s with a 4.6L stroker, 5spd and np231 with 5.38s in the D44/D60. Get past that 150 miles mark and you better be wearing hiking boots. Oh, also, we weighed our beast. It came in at a shade over 5K. All that cage work and frame plating really added up. -
Bundy is a nice park. We have been fortunate in Michigan to have 3 great new parks start up in the past few years. Twisted Trails, Rocks and Valleys and Bundy Hill make up a 3 excellant places to wheel in Michigan. Add in Silver Lake Sand dunes and Drummond Island and you could make it a great week of wheeling and be able to see all we have to offer in Michigan. We use Bundy Hill (about 40 minutes from our facility in Coldwater) for testing and pics/vids. Great place for all kinds of wheeling. I would encourage you to try it out if you haven't.

Low Pinion vs. High Pinion
Zone Offroad replied to flint54's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Actually, HP30 is said to be about 20-30% stronger than an LP30...depending on who you talk to. -
The Zone crew is heading back out on the event trail again this weekend Aug 12th-14th. Dave and Carter are headed out with the Zone 2011 Chevy HD and show trailer with Project MJ stashed inside en route to the Bantam Jeep Festival in Butler, PA. We will be set up next to our local dealer, Meridian Offroad Center, in the vendor area. Stop by and check out the MJ and say hi to the guys. Also, stop in and meet Rob and the crew from Meridian Offroad. Rob is a great guy and he also owns and operates his own offroad park, the Outback Adventure Park...one of the best kept secrets in western PA. http://www.bantamjeepfestival.com/

Sorry about the lack of updates on the Blog. The magazine has requested we hold off sharing any trip details until the mag articles are in print. As soon as we get the  we will finish up the 3-part project review we started on the Blog. Until then, here is a update from the 4WOR site feature our rig. http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/2011/ultim ... 9U8Y-tOTv9 Just click on the "Day 6" video.

Thanks for stopping by. For all of you that weren't able to make it to the PA Jeeps show, here are a bunch of pics: http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set= ... 775&type=1 Several of Project MJ in there as well as several other cool rigs we came across. For the second year in a row we talked one of our customers into doing a live install of our TJ 3" lift right at the booth. As usual the install went smoothly and as you will see by the pictures, he was out wheeling it later in the day.

H3RESQ's Dream MJ, the build continues...
Zone Offroad replied to H3RESQ's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
I have been meaning to give you  on your MJ. It is really nice, clean and well done. Great job. -
Most likely we will be putting hydro assist on it in the future. We knew going in that the 40's and stock steering box were not going to play well with each other. We just flat out ran out of time to address that when trying to meet our UA deadline. There are actually several things that fell into that catagory that we will go back and address soon.
