  1. anything over 65 in my junk is a gamble
  2. don't think you will be able to find a long arm kit for under 1,000 unless you you can find a good deal on some used components, or make your own arms. but check craigslist and local offroad clubs first. i pieced together a 4.5" short arm lift for pretty cheap
  3. http://www.lunghd.com/Tech_Articles/Eng ... ostics.htm this it?
  4. i have the rock krawler trac bar. its pure beef. the mount is 1/4 plate and the bar is 1.25" and solid. lots of guys recommend it
  5. also, make sure you test the pump before you put it in the tank. i bought a new one that was wired backwards from the factory (the wires only clip onto the pump a certain way) and it was blowing bubbles in my tank instead of pumping the gas out.
  6. wish i could remember what pump i bought. got it from napa and it was slightly smaller than the stock pump. i had to use a combination of the new adapter pieces and the stock parts. i remember i had to cut a piece of the rubber to fit one end of the pump correctly. but everything works great and fits. i'd say pull the pump and see what you can do
  7. the frame mounts look good. but the bumper itself is pretty plain. not bad for the price though. where do you mount your license plate?
  8. Well I got T-boned while driving my cherokee here in CT during this mess of a snowstorm. both passenger doors are smashed in, pillar is toast, whats left of my rockers are toast lol. The thing drives like nothing happened, but I'm still pretty sure the insurance is going to total it. If they do total it, what parts should i keep for my comanche? what sensors/parts are worth anything to me and will work with my renix? Cherokee is a 93 4.0 HO Comanche is a 87 4.0 renix
  9. I can get the castle nut to be flush with the top of the threads, but not far enough to get the cotter pin through. i already stripped one nut trying to pull it through. i've been trying different parts stores to see if there are any different rod ends but i haven't had much luck. gonna have to start looking for the right reamer to open up the hole i guess.
  10. I'm in the middle of installing my lift and having problems with the rough country adjustable trac bar. I bought the trac bar used and there is no special bracket for it, but i don't think its supposed to have one because it uses a stock tie rod end at the frame side. my issue is that the tie rod end that goes to the frame mount does not fit into the hole the way it needs to. the taper on the rod end is too large and i can't get enough threads to show at the top to get the castle nut down far enough to where it needs to be. is anyone else running a rough country trac bar with a rod end that has had this issue? is my only option to ream the mount to the correct taper? are the xj trac bar mount brackets the same as the mj? because i'm sure this trac bar was meant for an xj.
  11. do it yourself. your first time might take longer to do but once you do it once, its easy as hell and you will have the other side done in half the time.
  12. this just happened to me. replaced the cps and no more problems. i didnt use the oem sensor though and the one i pulled off is the same as the replacement, which worries me that it will go bad again soon.
  13. you need to run wheels with less backspacing than stock to avoid contacting the control arms. you can fit 33's with 2" of lift with the proper trimming and bump stopping.
  14. I swapped my dummy cluster out for one with gauges, everything is working good except I can't find the correct temperature sending unit. the one the parts store gave me for a 4.0 with gauges looks like this: the connecter i have in my comanche looks like this: now these connections do not mate up. Did i get the wrong temp switch or is there some simple solution that i have overlooked? thanks
  15. I recently bought a comanche and I'm looking to sit at about 4 inches of lift. I want to get rid of the dana 35 so whatever i swap in will most likely be sprung over. I understand i will need new perches and shock mounts. from what ive heard though a sprung over setup will net close to 6 inches of lift. i'm not really looking to go that high so what other options am i looking at as far as a rear setup for around 4" of lift?
