  1. Didn't get a picture of it hauling a box side, 2 cab corners and tail gate for its Comanche brother, but I did pick up a 4.0L engine and t-case today
  2. I did cut through some of the interior parts,.. The headliner was hanging down and pretty much wasted,.. If you needed it,.. Sorry I took the two cab sides complete, box side and tailgate. I may go back for the diff and bumper. I had less than a hour to get it all so I took the critical stuff I needed.
  3. Well I found this poor girl in Pick and Pull today,.. if I had only been there a few days earlier I could of saved it from the yard. Hell Had they not hacked the s#it out of it with the forks I would of pulled it out,.. But its parts will live on restoring my two others,..
  4. In the exhaust manifold,.. Change the upstream ,.. Also look at the EGR
  5. Same issue ,.. New o2 sensor and fixed
  6. Just spent the last few hours driving,.. At intersections it's far improved! Not perfect but waaay better, next valve cover gasket and crank sensor jic
  7. Just append this out , new one in so we shall see if that make a difference,..
  8. Did your old gauge cluster have dummy lights, or gauges? Dummy lights ,.. I miss needles moving in front of me
  9. On the weekend I plugged in a XJ cluster (4.0L) into my 88 (2.5L) and the tach did indeed work but the water temp and oil pressure did not,.. Now I am unsure if they worked before as I had not tested it before in another truck but the tach did work. Hope that helps!
  10. Funny you mentioned valve cover,.. As mine is leaking and by the looks of it for some some time,.. I planned on doin it on the weekend. Now maybe sooner than that. I will report back! Thanks!!
  11. Ok I scored up MJ number three but this one I get to drive!!! Once I swapped a starter and alternator into it,.. So that being said the idle sucks,.. Fire it up and it's ok(ish) not great but ok,.. Now drive it for 5 mins and it shutters and slightly recovers but shakes like a dog s#itting razor blades. Of course I put a tank of premium fuel in it, injector cleaner, tune up bits and it seems to be better,.. But not correct. I am leaning to swapping in a new o2 sensor next but have little experience with 2.5L tech When drubbing everything feels good and smooth with the occasional momentary "flat spot" like an old carb set up,.. Power,.. Well it's a 2.5 won't wow you but can get out of its own way,.. Next steps? Oh it's a 88 with 163,000 Kms stored 7 years
  12. Well after some measurements today I realize I have made a grave error and the whole panel is coming out again, I didn't allow for the cab corner to slightly protrude the box, so the lines are all off so can you say re-do? Now to find another cab side,.. :(
  13. Almost there,... an you see the seam? Earlier in the day: Back to it,...
  14. Got some work done today,.. "A" Pillar in Started on the B-pillar; This was a scary sight,.. , I knew I was dedicated to finish it :out::out::out: And after a few hours of test fits and trimming,.. more to come :)
  15. Here is where I am as of tonight,.. Split the exterior sheet metal of the "spare" A Piller Pulled the glass as I need access to the spot welds in behind, I got impatient and it got messy Started to strip the exterior sheet metal off the Comanche after cutting some stress relief strips and one 1/2 off :) Always looks worse before it looks better,... So now I have to undo the spot welds on the door jam side of the A pillar, test fit the new piece and see if the post is tweeked at all, cross your fingers for me ,.. If all goes well the panel will fit flawlessly and I have no structure damage. The to lift the box, and start on the rework of the b pillar,.. Thanks for viewing!
  16. First thing He did, also changed the electrical part for the ign switch in the column,..
  17. After a skype call seems like the auto shut down may be kicking in can anyone take a picture of it and post it as well as the required voltages in and out?
  18. Jeep running yet?
  19. You are going to have to do some reading but here is the chop build thread,.. http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/showflat. ... art=1&vc=1
  20. Subscribed! I want to see more!!! :Canadaflag:
  21. Several weeks have passed and my hand is finally healing from the break I sustained racing the big jeep,.. but I am slowly getting back into the swing,.. OK so I wasn't happy about the outcome on the B Pillar, door frame where the catch is is still tweeked and I am un-happy how the door closes So I started stripping down the donor panel, now when I cut it out it had portions of the cab still connected , so that had to go,.. So I had to find all the factory spot welds that looked like this, now sometimes its easier seeing them from an unpainted surface but these were pretty evident Hope you can see it just in front of my finger So I started with a small pilot hole and then to a bit just larger than the spot weld When I go to remove them off the truck itself I will use these bits designed to cut the sheet metal around the weld and preserve the metal behind for the reattachment. And Bazinga! The panels with some light suggestions from a hammer and chisel separated. Now I still need to release the section of the roof and a few more braces before its ready to be installed now just need to remove the old panel and weld in the new one,...
  22. Awesome meeting the Zone team at SEMA ; the truck looks as good in person as it does on the build thread! The Zone team was on of the nicest and their passion is truly evident! When I visited the booth they opened the doors and hood to show all their work and share what they have learned on the build and I fully intend on borrowing a few things from them. Thanks guys for being so cool and down to earth. -Jenssen
  23. PULL THE CARPET!!! Please Check the floors
  24. It's just the fact if persay you were broken down on the side of the hiway or parked on a dark street without running lights reflectors will shine back from the headlamps your new set up will not
  25. Think the big thing with dents is that you need to look how they were formed, then reverse the process ; the hardest part is shrinking the metal back to shape. Once you invert the dent you can use a concaved dolly on the back side and start hammering it back to shape,... Some dents will never be 100% back to stock but close works, I did use a flap disk to take out any minor deviations and it allows a nice texture for the filler bond to.
