I went to a shop to get an allingment done and theysaid my track bar was broke and showed my the slop in mine and that they couldn't do the allignment with out getting a new one. I was wondering if having a track bar was optional. I've heard it is with sme jeeps.

$500 MJ's Rear Bumpers
86ComancheXNate replied to 500 MJ's topic in MJ Tech: DIY Projects and Write-Ups
I would love a bumper when you start building. Hit me up if you can ship to Florida. One question how would you mount tag lights on that bumper? -
That's kinda why I like them. But if ur not a fan of the red the other side has black letters

Here's what those General Grabbers look on my truck. I like the way they look. I need to put some 2.5-2.75" coil spacers up front to lessen the rubbing but other than that I like them.
-
You should check out the General Red Letter Grabbers. I just put them on mine. They're a really beefy all-terrain with really aggressive looking tread. So far I'm pretty happy with mine they ride smooth on the road with almost no noise and have ridiculous traction off-road even in thick mud. They can be a bit pricey but iff you look around u can find them cheap. I got mine for $157 a tire on tires-easy.com

Locker or no locker?
86ComancheXNate replied to 86ComancheXNate's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
yeah. I'll make sure to do that. I just recently joined the Ocala Jeep Club here in Ocala, FL. I'm pretty sure its one of the largest clubs in the area. We went on a monthly ride yesterday and we had about 40+ jeeps out there. -
Well I just recently joined my local jeep club and now I have access to a lot of equipment and tools that I didn't have and I think I'm going to start scouring the area for a donor Cherokee and just do the 4.0 swap since now I have access to the tools and people with knowledge to help me. On another note I actually have made a little progress on my truck. NEW TIRES! I think its a tight fit lol. Tested them out on the trails yesterday and they did great. Rubbed quite a bit up front but I'm probably going to get some 2.75 inch spacers up front to try and eliminate some of the rubbing.

ok thanks. I'm going to try and see if I can get someone in my jeep club to make me up some offroad bumpers for the front and rear. then I'll think about getting an aussie locker. -

Locker or no locker?
86ComancheXNate replied to 86ComancheXNate's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
is it hard to find a locker for an AMC 20? -
I'm debating on whether or not to put a locker in my rear axle. Right now I'm running a 2.8 V6 with and AMC20 rear with 4.10 gearing running 31x10.5's. I'm planning on doing a drive train swap for a better engine and to get 4wd, but I'm waiting till I can afford a donor cherokee. for the time being I've been tossing around the idea of putting a locker in the rear? any suggestions?
-
What gear ratio is better for mileage? Right now I've got 4.10 with 31x10.5s with the 2.8 v6 I barely get 15 if I'm luckky normally around 11 or 12

Stock Radio issues
86ComancheXNate replied to 86ComancheXNate's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Well I pulled out the radio and checked all of the wires to it and they're all intact. So I don't know what the problem is. Also none of the buttons seem to be responsive like the tuner know the seek buttons and the am/fm button. The only things I get a response from are the volume knobs and the treble and bass knows and the front back left and right speaker controls.
