I'm not sure what is going on with my radio. It seems to work but I cannot seem to get any stations. I think I may have lost connection with the antenna. How could I fix this? and what fuses on the fuse panel are involved with the radio?

Tow point mounting location?
86ComancheXNate replied to 86ComancheXNate's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
thanks, I'm definitely bringing a shovel along and some boards because the last time I got stuck I got stuck bad. I was axle deep in mud with nothing to dig out with. A friend of mine and I found some logs and tried to put them under the tires to get traction but it didnt work. We found a smaller reflector sign from the side of the road and used it as a shovel. We still couldn't get it to budge. Well finally after a while I had a friend of mine come help me with his big lifted F-150 (I'm srry I was desperate and I had yet to get anyone's number from the jeep club) well after some contemplating we finally attached a chain to the tow ball on my rear bumper, again I apologize because I know this was stupid and unsafe. Well we finally got my truck out but now the back of my truck smiles at me :) lol. -
Tow point mounting location?

I'm not sure. I can handle mud alright. I just joined my local jeep club. The Ocala Jeep Club and they go on monthly trail rides through the Ocala National Forest. A bunch of people have told me I'll be fine. -

damn. :( -
I just got some tow points for my truck. A friend of mine gave me 1 for the front and 1 for the back so I can start going on trail rides with the jeep club. I was wondering where I could mount them?

I think I need new tires
86ComancheXNate replied to 86ComancheXNate's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
well I just rotated my tires. I don't think its been done since the they've been on the truck. They're 31x10.5 Maxxis Buckshot Mudders and the fronts had about 2x more tread than the rear. Well I got done putting the front tires on the back and the back on the front and the rear end lifted up almost an inch. wow. -
Well I just got a new carb today. The truck runs great now. I've got my mind set on the 3.4 because its really hard to find a cheap Cherokee around here right now. However there are several 3.4 cameros and firebirds sitting around in jys around here so I think thats the direction I think I'm going. If only I had the money to do this..... :dunno:

well I want a tire that does well both on and off road. I'm joining my local jeep club this saturday and will be going on monthly trail rides. So I'm looking for something that could hold its own on the street and on the trail. -

Those look pretty nice. I don't really like tire kingdom they're really pricey. I'm thinking about getting whatever tire I pick online and then go somewhere to get them mounted. I found this site but I'm not sure if its legit. Everything is really cheap. http://www.tires-easy.com/start.html As for the General Red-Letter Grabber they're advertised as a mixed terrain. They say they were "raised from the baja, tamed for the street" I think they look really sweet but I'm not sure howd they perform. -
So this morning I was driving to school. I guess it rained or something the night before because the street was wet. I went to take a turn and fish tailed several times before gaining control. It was extremely fun but kinda scary at the same time because I gained control only a few feet away from a street sign that I would have wrapped my bed around. Well here's the tire issue. Right now I have 31"x10.5"x15" Maxxis Buckshot Mudders. The tires are alright but I kind of just like them for their size. I am planning on getting some new tires next month or so and was thinking about getting some all terrains. I'm debating on going down to the stock tire size or keeping the 31's. I'm also not sure what tires to get. I recently fell in love with the look of the new General Tire grabber. I think they look really sick. But I still really like the BFG All-Terrains. I'm not sure what to get. Any suggestions? P.S. I'm kinda leaning toward these:
