Thanks for the details on the window; that's a bummer the middle is busted out. Does anyone on the forum know if it's possible to replace the middle glass?
-
Did it still have the rear window? Pretty sure I came across that truck on FB marketplace some time ago. Nice grab on the cargo light.

Found on OfferUp; couldn't find the VIN on the forum through a search. Pretty stock truck. Only thing that stood out to me were the seats. https://offerup.com/item/detail/a96fa96e-2097-3a24-8887-8b4b058bea22

I've had some luck with JB Weld's TankWeld on motorcycle tanks. Prep the neck for best results; don't just apply willy-nilly.

Very nice. Love the look of those steel wheels on these trucks. -
Well, that was short lived. Got home today from the JY and while unloading I immediately smell the strong odor of gasoline…awesome.

Thanks, I was interested to see what dealership it sold from. Looks like it went out of business after 2008. I'll still drive the MJ by for $#!&s and giggles.

Thanks for the info. Sad to see it's not a Metric Ton.

Thanks. Was able to get a few more details from this.

Oops. Forgot to include the axle pic. But it’s definitely a D35 unfortunately. Bummer.

1992, Jeep, Comanche. 4.0 / AX-15 / Dana 35 / LWB Build date: 12-91 Current Location: Texas Status: Put back on the road this week after sitting for many years. Notes: Hoping to find out if this truck was suppose to have the Dana 44 or not. There is a broken emblem on the tailgate that I'm guessing came with the "MectricTon" package.

Does anyone know if there is a detail missing from this guide? I got the 26/27MM ZJ bar. But I had a difficult time bolting down the bar to the link. I kind of get the feeling the ZJ bar might need to be drilled out where it bolts to the link after comparing the MJ/ZJ bar. Edit: I see the original writer has aftermarket quick disconnect links. That may account for my different experience.

I finally made my way over to the VW section of the PNP today and grabbed a set of these lights after having this saved for the last few months. Very happy with the results as there are no longer holes in my pillars. Thank you to those who figured this solution out and shared it. I did crimp on spade connectors after reading about them in this CC post. They were also a PITA to remove from the VW and they seem to only install one way. Here are my results:

Surprised that truck too so long to sell at the price it was. Had I been closer it I might have gone to look at it. Sounds like it's in good hands now. Good luck with the build.

here's a write up from a different forum: https://www.jeepforum.com/threads/valve-cover-gasket-replacement-lots-of-pics.1121533/

After looking into it more. I’m not sure that kit will work. The vent window glass on the full size Jeeps were 1/4in. While the glass on for vent windows on later model was 3/16in. I think that might cause compatibility issues.

I pulled a set this week and one of them also has the hinge assembly thingy broken. I don't know if it'll work but this is a kit I came across that LOOKS like it might work but not sure. https://jeeprecyclers.com/1963-1991-full-size-jeep-vent-window-replacement-glass-pivot-assembly/ Does anyone have any leads for a replacement set of seals on these windows that won't cost an arm and a leg. Good luck with your repairs.

I saw the combo mentioned here on the forum and usually a link to this post on an XJ forum.

If you have the FEY/Westin bumper you can look for a Reese 37042 universal receiver hitch. I was able to find one locally for $40 a few weeks back and got it mounted recently.

Needing new Fuel Sending Unit and Pump
TX_Heat replied to TX_Heat's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks for the idea. I checked but the ones I found look identical to the assembly I got from RockAuto. They also say they're shipped from China. MTS claims to make theirs in the US but the picture of JPSU-7P also looks the same from eBay. -
Needing new Fuel Sending Unit and Pump
TX_Heat replied to TX_Heat's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks for the replies guys. So the fuel sending unit (TYC 150296A) listed on RockAuto for the 92 MJ is for a Cherokee. Just got off the phone with MTS and they are out of stock of JPSU-7P. There's a 3 month lead time on them so I'll be waiting to hear back about that. -
Needing new Fuel Sending Unit and Pump
TX_Heat replied to TX_Heat's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Thanks guys, I'll be placing an order tomorrow. Do y'all know about how much the unit was? Also, should I go with the fuel pump they sell or a Bosch? I've seen the Bosch mentioned a few times when it comes to fuel pumps. -
Hey everyone, I'm in need of a new fuel pump and assembly for my 1992 Jeep Comanche. If anyone has any recommendations for reliable brands or places to buy from, I’d really appreciate it. I found one on RockAuto for $90 but after reading through some post here, I don't know if that's the one I should get. Any advice or experiences would be super helpful. Thanks in advance!
