  1. I live in CA. The Ca compliant direct fit magnaflows are $1000+
  2. So my egr doesnt seem to be the issue with high idles at startup and after highway driving. I think its something to do with the tps or map. But as the EGR still isnt functioning should I entertain fixing it or just replace the cat? Rock auto has a new cat for less than $200. My thought is the egr couldn't cause that big of a spike in Nitric. Any thoughts?
  3. I thought it stops letting vacuum through when it’s de-energized.
  4. So I'm not getting vacuum signal to the transducer or the EGR. I'm getting vacuum to the inlet on the solenoid. I'm gonna check the connection to the solenoid with a multimeter but I'm thinking its the solenoid. Likely causing the high revs at startup and after freeway driving and also running lean. But tell me if I'm missing something
  5. I checked vacuum leaks yesterday by spraying brake clean around all hoses and connections to try to get it to rev up. Nothing
  6. If it were EGR would a symptom be high idle at startup? 1 in 10 times I start up it revs to ~3k rpm. I don't have a renix monitor. I'm not familiar either Ill check the o2 aswell
  7. Could it just be an o2 sensor causing the ecu to tune lean?
  8. I know the o2 is a little high but thats not related to NO right
  9. Let me know if this works
  10. Just failed smog in my 89 4.0 Hoping its not the cat but my NO numbers were way high. Guy said it could've been EGR too but idk if it would cause this big of a spike. I attached the results from the test below... Any recommendations as to what I should do?
  11. Thanks for the advice! Just ordered the 1250s looking forward to my rig sitting level
  12. Does anyone have experience with the 1700lb capacity general spring leaf pack and its performance without load? Trying to decide what leaf pack to get... I want it to perform well on and offroad. If i go with the stock pack Ill need to use my add-a-leaf. I have a longbed 4.0 and tend to carry about 100-200lbs in the bed. I also have the bigger 23 gallon tank.
  13. So does anyone have negative feedback with the 1700 as far as performance unloaded? I am trying to determine what will be the best option for matching my current 4.5 in lift. I have a long bed and typically carry about 100-200 lbs of gear in the bed. I don’t want poor articulation and the springs to be uncomfortable for driving on the road
  14. Good idea, ill see if they're still moving around once i get the new control arms on. Thanks for everyone's input!
  15. Ok. I have a CAD dana 30. I guess ill just pick up some core adjustable control arms and if need be ill get cam bolts too. Thanks!
  16. I purchased these brackets shown below and welded it in to the axle. Seems like the control arm won't really stay where I position it within the slot - it ends up just sliding all the way to the front which pushes the axle towards the rear of the vehicle
  17. I bent and broke both stock lower control arm brackets off before and replaced with some adjustable ones but they’re just not enough and the control arm doesn’t seem to stay put where I set it
  18. I have a rough country 4.5 in lift. I had issues after lifting with the coils not sitting completely straight - the bump stops would contact the middle of the spring and the front axle seemed like it was swooping towards the back of the truck. I replaced the track bar with an aftermarket adjustable one and I'm assuming adjustable lower control arms would help too. Curious if this is a good way to go and if so what brands to look for. I don't really want to do a long arm kit as I have a peugot transmission and it would require another adapter to work with most kits.
  19. I may have a donor LQ from a 2003 GMC Yukon XL. Would this still be worth it to swap even tho its not technically LS? And does anyone have an idea on cost for adapting this motor? I want to keep the truck manual... I assume theres a bell housing adapter for the peugots and ax15s?
  20. Awesome, thanks for the punctual responses.
  21. Ok sweet. Just to confirm thats roughly 3 in of lift on the 1700lb spring correct?
  22. I'm looking into ordering new leaf packs from general spring. Does anyone have experience with either of the options for weight capacity? There's a 1250lb and 1700lb option. I'm curious if i might gain lift out of the 1700 and if it will be suboptimal for suspension articulation if the bed isnt loaded
  23. I’m in California, Bay Area. I haven’t seen any wranglers in my local junkyards. Ive been able to find some on Facebook tho. I’ll keep my eye out for some Dakotas!
