  1. Yeah, unfortunately I already learned that the hard way with my current vinyl flooring
  2. Thanks, ordered it. I'll let y'all know how it goes.
  3. Ok maybe a picknpull buy and return if it doesnt fit well type deal haha
  4. Ok so carpet from an xj cut in half wouldnt fit well then?
  5. And does anyone know if the floor pan of comanches is identical up until the half way point of a cherokee?
  6. Ok thanks for the input! My interior is grey with carpet on the door panels so I want it to match. I can't tell if ACC's "medium gray" and "light charcoal" is closer and I bet it will look different from the photos in person. Anyone got experience with either?
  7. Ok thanks. Any experience with dynamat vs killmat vs amazon basics sound deadening?
  8. And this begs the question, Maybe ratrapp got mass backing and 89 MJ did not?
  9. Ah ok. The first thing I ever did when my grandfather gave me the jeep was rip the carpet out along with the foam insulation as rats had been inhabiting the cab. The floor pan is completely bare under the vinyl now. Is a layer of dynamat sufficient for sound deadening or is there anything else I can add in addition to make it even quieter?
  10. Whats the issue with mass backing?
  11. I've heard some mixed reviews on the ACC carpet. I got rockauto vinyl flooring now and it fits terribly. Has anyone ever tried pulling carpet out of a Cherokee and cutting it at the center? My first priority is fit and second is sound deadening. Would love to hear peoples input and recommendations. Thanks
  12. Sweet, thank you. Will pick some up!
  13. Sup y’all A while back I did a zj disc converion with junkyard parts and never got around to hooking up my ebrake. It’s getting annoying. Are there cables out there on the market that are just plug and play from equalizer to backing plate? I’m tired of doing all this JIMMYRIGGING even though it’s in the name. Thanks
  14. Cuz I get no power to the fuse when the switch is off
  15. So the power goes from the switch to the fuse and then back to the switch for the dimmer?
  16. I’ve been battling dash lights (including transfer case and ac control lights) going in and out. First it was a problem with fuse clips so I replaced. I’ve pulled the fuse box apart again and don’t see any issues with the connection. When I turn the headlight switch on I’m getting power to the fuse. Does that rule out the headlight switch or no?
  17. Used a laser to see alignment of pulleys. Whoever did the PS last didn’t press the pulley on all the way so it was out of alignment
  18. Is there any way the yaw of the PS pulley could be off? Its the only thing that i unbolted when i swapped the belts
  19. Ok, just confused why it didn’t throw the old belt off
  20. It’s got a decent amount of tension.
  21. 4.0 Not sure the condition Honestly its probly never been replaced What would indicate needing replacement?
  22. Visually nothing looks off but I don't know if that means anything
  23. I replaced my serpentine belt a week ago as preventative maintenance. A few days later it blew off on the freeway. I did a roadside repair and havent had it fall off again, however its been jumping a tooth on the crank and power steering pulley. I keep re-adjusting but this is the second time its happened in the last few days. The only thing I ever unbolted/adjusted was the PS pump. Any ideas?
