And I keep breaking front ring and pinion, Guess I can't keep the Dana 30 any longer Found a front axle from a nissan patrol Y61 I will be using for now, The ring gear is 9.17inches on that one so I hope its stronger. It's also a not a driver side drop, so that will have to be modified :D -

Sadly I broke my ring gear in the front axle on day 6, so 6 out of 16 days I made it this year. only got stock gearing as spares. Next year I will bring an extra set of 4.88 with me. -
Looked exactly like this, I unbolted it, unplugged and used the bolt for my stereo ground

This was my plane at first, always wanted an OM606 as people keep talking about them. But I have always loved BMW and by chance I got my hands on this engine really cheap :) I will be following your thread when it starts :) -

I bought the smallest generic one I could find in the swedish version of harbour freight, I will be using the original BMW generator when I am finished with drawing up the alternator relocation brackets, and an M52 power steering pump I have left over from my swap in my bmw 1602 as the m52 pump has an external tank. This is my version of one of the sides. This is the type of bracket I am trying to copy -

Finally got my gear shifting thing Had to redo the the cables inside of it, for it to work with my arduino. Just got to find a way to mount it better. 725E258D-12E3-47BC-9FC2-37A3C1336496.mp4 -

I am jumping around and doing things everywhere on the car now it feels like, but decided to fix a small problem with the shifter. I removed the niftyshifter for now and just controlling it with my arduino. The niftyshifter works, but I am just having issues with the way I want to controll it as I want it sequentially shifted and it was easier to just do the controller myself for that. I am using an arduino uno r4 and a 4 relay module for it. IMG_5773.mp4 -

While playing around with the gearbox, I decided I might try and tap into the output shaft speed sensor instead of converting the one in the transfer case to an electric one. Seems to work alright, just having some weird problem I think it is getting an extra pulse sometimes. Might try to clean that up with the arduino I am using for shifting. IMG_5766.mp4 -
This seems to look alright, so I think I still have the renix sender in the XJ tank. Thanks :)
-
Both if you know them, Forgot if I have the sender from a renix or HO. Got a XJ tank but maybe MJ pump. 2 years since i did it but need to program my dash.
-
What is the ohm range is the fuel level sender using? is it the same for XJs?

Blew up the original plastic intercooler connection to the intake manifold, too much boost?
