  1. Well played WranglerMangler. Well played indeed.
  2. I’m dying! Super funny! So if you find 3 random other MJs with three independent people and you have 6 MJ’s does this mean you have the same amount of MJ’s as 6 regular people?
  3. Yessir! I used to think they were overrated. Not anymore! I’m a changed man!
  4. Been a minute! I’ve had one hell of a busy April. Needless to say, the truck is getting close! Working out last minute kinks. One of which was suddenly inop gauges, blower and turn signals. Took me about 8 hours to figure out. When I did, I was using a push pin puller to pull a push pin in the dash right below the steering column when the dash flexed a tiny bit and the blower started. I hadn’t put the lower dash bolts in yet and noticed this…. IMG_2457.MOV got the bolt in now everything is back to normal…
  5. Yep! The PO had the truck since 90 and got the kit directly from Archer Brothers. He had it painted to match the truck and never installed it for one reason or another.
  6. Got the truck home on Thursday! Due to work and some house projects I needed to get done, didn’t get to the truck until today. Began by pressure washing the truck and going through what was there vs. what wasn’t. So far, the what’s not list is very short. A gray passenger side window crank and the shift knob. It also seems to be missing the tube assembly from the warm air port on the air box and needs new headlights. Other than that she’s great! Here’s a picture of the rest of the Archer Brothers kit in all of its glory! Still need to dust it off.
  7. I was driving to work a while ago and saw a Comanche in a driveway not far from where I work. After reading about the street Comanches for a while at work I was convinced that I had found one. I even took a creeper shot of it while on my way to send to my good buddy wranglermangler to get his opinion…. So Saturday I saw the guy who has it working in his yard. After much persuasion by WranglerMangler to find out if it was a street Comanche, I pulled in and asked. It wasn’t. It was, however, a remarkable find. It’s an 88 with a complete paint matched Archer Brothers body kit never installed, besides the air dam. The truck has the 2.5 with 120k on the clock, good taillights, has the same very rare rear bumper as my 87 MJ, a great bedliner, vent windows and is complete and supposedly runs! Needless to say I offered the guy some cash…. And I now have two MJ’s! This one is going to be a restoration to all of it’s 80’s glory! We can blame all of this on WranglerMangler….. meet TealSteel!
  8. Are you running your machine in 3 phase? If so, did you do an add a phase?
  9. God dang it, I literally went in Amazon to see reviews and decide if people even buy that thing!!!!! APRIL FOOLS DAY. You got me LMAO!!!!!
  10. Thanks so much! Been a fun build! Pressure washing is oddly satisfying. I pressure washed it again when I got it from my buddy in the video. Here in Washington things that sit literally grow algae so it’s cool to see it come off.
  11. Oh man!!!! The fact that someone said “This is Gonna be my claim to fame!” Is astonishing. I bet it works great in muddy and wet conditions!
  12. I’d love to go soon! Although Evans and Naches are both still heavily snowed in. I went up towards evans a week ago in the wife’s xj and it was a muddy mess and then BAM snow. Should have taken the JK…. lol
  13. Dirtbound Offroad deluxe sliders. I feel like they could be heavier gauge, but overall, very nice.
  14. I forgot to post those!!!!
  15. I’m also the proud new owner of a set of maxtrax. I heard they’re a requirement to be considered the owner of an overland rig? . Got the truck registered for the first time in 17 years as well! Got rear drive shaft, brake assembly and exhaust left and she’s “done”!
  16. Still tying up loose ends on the truck. Made some shock mounts for the rear axle.
  17. Been a little bit! Went down to the local annual 4x4 swap meet and picked up some treasures. Set of decent 37” Patagonias as well as some chromoly shafts for the rear axle. Got everything installed and the truck on its own tires for the first time in a while.
  18. Absolutely crazy story! Super glad you’re ok! Minche looks sweet!!!!! When I get mine done we will have to go on some kind of Comanche adventure!
