1. Okay so I got my motor in my truck today. Then we went to put the tranny in but some how in the move from az to ca I lost the inspection cover plates. Now I do have a donor that I can get parts from and it's a Cherokee from 89 my Comanche is a 90. My buddy says that the one that's on the donor can fit the Comanche but thinks the difference will be different then the one the Comanche should have. I disagree I think it will work. So my question to u guys is will the Cherokee fit the Comanche one. Yes it is the same engine and transmission. Will it work?
2. no i meant the tires i been talking to a couple guys here in sd and they said they arent making anymore
3. These tires are hard to find I heard they don't make them anymore.
4. Well I got a donor Jeep Cherokee the stats are what I know of know. Year- 1989 Model- Cherokee (xj) (haven't found anything as far a what kind it is) Color- Brown Interior- Grey Engine- 4.0L 4x4- Yes (I believe its a NP 242) Transmission- AW-4 (I think) Suspension- Stock Wheels- Stock
5. I wonder if Lund can get these still
6. It would be nice to have one
7. I would like to see them again period. No more teasers! But design wise. 1. Full Frame - keep width the same 2. Extended Cab option, Four Door option, Dually Option. I would have buckets up front and bench in rear. 3. 6 or 8ft bed difference in the Ext Cab or Four door or Dually. 4. Dana 44 Rear 5. front D44 (TJ) 6. Engine options 8cyl / diesel - V8 can be a special edition only. Diesel needs to be a reliable for what we are building to stay in the Comanche sizing. Other options - 5 Speed Transmission, Automatic/ Manual, Electric lockers, Disconnect Swaybars, Metric Ton/ Tow Package, Offroad Package with Skid plates and Offroad lights, or Make one "The Package" where you can get every option and it not cost you an arm and leg. 7. Stock tire size should be started at 31" All-terrains. Rubicon Edition starts with a 32" Mud-Terrain 8. Design wise I like the last year of the Cherokee. But all lights would be led or hid. Daully would have running lights on top and along the side on the rockers and on the flare side in the rear. I'm sure there is more
8. Dang thought I had an ax 15 for the longest time! Bummer. Are the ax 15 pretty common?

16. It's John Deere green from the John Deere dealership Or Home Depot and lowes in the rattle can. The quart I got was $20. First it was a joke but now it got serious I guess.
17. got it figured it out the camshaft was pushed out too far.
18. no it started out by getting the name of the john deere truck back home and my step dad who painted it to match the joke and since it was already painted i might as well go with it. so i guess john deere.
19. hh here the gears where not even. this meant the cam was too far forward. in the top pics the plug was too far in.
20.
21. Figured out what it was the cam had been pushed forward by the cam plug in the rear which was givng me the prob. My solution was to hit the cam with a hammer and a prices of wood and keep trying the plate until it had been flush with the block. Then added some high temp on the plug.
22. okay weird i have comp cams double roller and the cover is too small like depth wise. i noticed it was getting caught on the cam side. i don't know what to do next except go back to stock single.
23. but should the stock timing cover go on it? thats what I'm asking cuz i have the double roller from comp cams on it and the cover won't go on. anyone have any other advice.
24. Has any put a double roller timing chainon their motor? And did the cover fit back on or did u have to upgrade the cover.
