  1. Hey there guys and gals, When i got my comanche I guess the guy had put and after market radiator in and instead of taking the time to get the quick disconnect off he just cut the line put some fuel line and clamps on it and thought it would work. Well after i replaced my tranny it was spraying tranny fluid everywhere, like a quart a day. My problem: I salvaged some tranny lines from my local JY for $20 instead of $180 brand new. Sounded good to me. But i can't get the disconnect to disconnecct we have a set of line disconnects at the house and they are not long enough to get down in there. Is there any special tool that I need for this? Any help or know how would be awesome. Thanks Devin

  4. with the whole WOT thing not accelerating right. my 91 is doing the same thing. i thought maybe it the torque converter was loose but being that yours is a five speed i suppose that can't be it. but i'm going to keep an eye on this topic and maybe solve my problem as well. devin.

  7. Ok. So the tranny in my Comanche had been acting up lately. If I put it in D it would act as if it were under a load until about 20mph. But if I put it in 1 it took off really well. Yesterday on the way to my parents liquor store it started reving (sp?) high and not going anywhere and everntually stopped. So I turned it off got underneath it and there was some tranny fluid on the ground but not alot. 5 minutes later I started it up and it drove another mile or two and got to the store barely. So does anyone know what this sounds like? And if anybody has a spare 2wd AW4 i'd gladly take it off your hands. :D Thanks for any help Devin

    NEWB.

Thanks. I forgot to mention how much I stole this thing for. I drove 4 hours to get it. And paid $550. Has 157000 on it. And drove it home no problem. The guy was skeptical because he thought the transmission slipped. But u think I came to the conclusion it's the torque converter. I'm really proud of my find.

Hey there guys and gals. Just wanted to introduce myself. I recently bought my first MJ. But am not new to jeeps. I had a 91 XJ with a 3.5" lift and a 4.7 stroker motor. But to the MJ. Here's some specs: 91' MJ LWB 4.0 Auto 2WD... for now anyway First and foremost project is to get my MJ 4WD I plan on finding a 91-95 XJ and swap the whole drivetrain over. Also, the interior if it's possible. Also, looking for the door pin trick, to make my doors removable like a Wrangler's. Any help, comments, or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Devin

Seeing that you are from VA be prepared for the sand fleas. I'm/was a hollywood Marine I never had to deal with any of that east coast BS. Also, never look at the female recruits, you'll get smoked for that one. :USAflag: Thank you for your service. Oohrah soon to be Devil Dog.
