  1. Hey Pete, I was on the forum a few months back and I stumbled upon a gold nugget of a topic. it was a checklist of stuff everybody should do when they first get a Comanche to help solve a ton of electrical problems. I think it had a PDF to download and had year specific information and its where I first heard about Oxyguard. I think you posted it or at least recommended it. I've been searching all morning and I still can't find it.

Can you post it again or shoot me to the right place? Thanks a ton.

  3. Hey lads, Sooo my internal slave want out again after only 7 months since I last replaced it. I'm itching to ditch the pugeuot for an ax15 with an external slave but I don't really want to drop $1500 or so to get a brand new one right now. Has anybody ever looked into a bell housing swap to convert the internal slave into an external? I've seen some bell housings for like $200 or $300 on ebay. I don't know if they will bolt directly to my pugeot or if I'd need an adapter plate. Anyway I'm not sure if this is a viable solution but it is within my price range and when I eventually buy an ax15 I'll have the right bell housing for it. Thoughts? Thanks.
  4. Yeah that would be super helpful! I'd definitely want one for now.I'm probably gonna go buy one online soon but I'm sure I'm not the only one missing a manual.
  5. Hey Guys, my 88' did not come with an owners manual and I'd like to at least get a PDF of it online. I've been looking but I haven't found one. I've also looked into Hanes and Chilton's manuals thinking that maybe they could help but they only seem to have them for XJs and they say that they are similar vehicles and the same manual can suffice. However a Comanche owner review said it wasn't helpful. What service manual should I buy and where can I find an owners manual to download?
  6. Thanks a bunch Pete, I think Ill probably be using it as more as a daily and less as a rock bouncer, at least for now. I liked the gearing well enough when the clutch worked and ill just fix it for now and run it until the gears go bad. I'd still like to hear some horror stories on Peugeot ba10/5 if anybody has any, so ill know what to keep a look out for.
  7. I've just purchased my MJ a few days ago. I'm trying to figure out what transmission I have. My Comanche is an 88 and I've read that 88 was the year they started phasing out the ba10/5. I would check for the band that the ax15 is supposed to have but the MJ in question is several states away from me at the moment (long story). I know that the transmission in question has an internal slave cylinder (and it is broken). Is any transmission behind an inline 6, with an internal slave cylinder, ipso facto, a ba10/5? or could it be an early version of the ax15? how can I know for sure? Hypothetically, if I have a ba10/5 (which i am informed is trash garbage) just how bad are they? Ive read a lot that they are bad but why? (Id like to hear a horror story) Obviously I wouldn't want to sink money into a rebuild for it if it breaks outright, but right now it just needs a clutch kit with a new slave cylinder. Should I just save my money for a new ax15 instead of fixing this? (assuming its a ba10/5)
