This truck never had A/C so does that mean the other mount will work? Yes the idler is part of the mount so if I eliminate it is there a shorter belt that would work without the idler? Anyone have an alternator area pic of their 2.5 without air? Yes I know hose is incorrect. This is a project truck so I plan on replacing all the hoses.

Here is a pic of my alt bracket. As you can see it is broke. I see by online pics there are two different types of mounts. My question is are the Aluminum one piece style like I have interchangeable with with the steel ones I see in online pics.

Maybe one of the experts will know if those mounts are interchangeable. Yes that is a GM alt.

Did it have A/C? This is what mine looks like. I guess someone rigged it because bracket broke.

Would you sell the alternator bracket mount that bolts it to engine?

I love seafoam, use it all the time, great stuff. There is a filling station close by so I will stop to fill up.

Hello everybody, My name is Dave, I am from West Virginia. I am going to pick up a 1987 MJ 2.5 with 151 thousand miles miles on it, 2wd this weekend for $500 bucks . Body has some rust but not to bad. I have to drive 2 hours to get it and back. My question Is where is the fuel filter and what kind of connectors does it have? The vehicle has set for a little while with 1/4 tank of gas in it so I am a little concerned that the fuel filter may be dirty. I want to change it before I drive it but can not find where it is located on the vehicle by doing an on line search. Thank you for any help. Dave
