  1. Friends, I am not sure that I have any. Any of which will follow through with their commitments. They say that they will help, but then they vanish.
  2. Dan Drimmie and I would beg to differ, these seats are some of the most comfortable seats, in all of Jeep Land! New-vs-Old. Both from a trim level of a Laredo!
  3. I sent the MO today for these seats. $200 + $80 to ship.
  4. The perches must be relocated, sadly!
  5. Yes sir. My truck had a Ford 8.8, with the SOA done to it, when I bought it. That 8.8 was geared 3.73 and the front diff/axle was still stock 3.08, With Cad... so therefore it was in pre runner mode. Since then, those axles have been swapped out with (already matching geared XJ axles) Yukon 4.56, lunchbox rear, Eaton LSD front (Chrysler 8.25/Dana30HP.)
  6. I have no welder and or welding experience, so therefore I will have to find someone that can do it for me. Where can I buy anti-wrap perches, as anything like that would be very helpful!
  7. Well looky here. I discovered that my leaf springs are twisted at the rear... now I wonder if I can buy offset shackles instead of moving the perches!
  8. Constant browsing of FB Marketplace, I guess has its benefits. $200 plus shipping from out east, PA.
  9. Absolutely true!
  10. I will be 60 in April 2020. I look forward to doing this after I am at 65, but I won't likely retire. It seems to me, once a person retires, that he or she dies faster. Not for me, I plan to live until 'they close the lid'
  11. My SJ sits in the garage, my MJ is taking all of my focus, until it is reasonably closer to being done. My SJ is my 'Queen' of my fleet. Sure it needs things, but my MJ gets things first.
  12. Overlanding, not my photos. But it sure looks fun, even in the toughest environments!
  13. I bought this truck, for a Kings Ransom, and when I bought it, the Peugeot BA10/5 was already ruined. Actually my first start up, before buying it, it sounded like a rod was bad in the motor. Here it turned out to be, the throw out bearing was nearly destroyed. Yes, it still motored down the road, for my test drive, but holy cow, was it ever touch and go. That guy bought it with intention to rebuild it, but when he realized that immediate parts were not readily available (meaning), to actually build something like these fairly rare vehicles, it takes time to find parts. We that own them, for any length of time, understand that our builds are almost never a Microwave build, it takes time to do, no 'zap' rebuilds, for us!
  14. The PO bought it 8 years ago, when he was living in Henderson, NV. That guy seemed to not be, very mechanically inclined. Wait until I show the photo (when I snap it), of the homeowners plumbing type pipe, that I guess he installed at some point. I was shocked when I saw it, for the first time. I have shrugged it off, since then. But in time, I want to replace that 'rig up' with proper rubber tubbing.
  15. That was just a guess. Yesterday, I seen squished out gasket material around the t-stat housing, so that leads me to believe that it does have a t-stat within, but maybe its, just stuck. This truck sat a lot, hardly driven, by its PO. Maybe it got gunked up, because of that. I won't know until I investigate.
  16. Exactly! I like green, but I doubt that I will actually use automotive paint. This lil truck is being built to be a Recreational Overlander (meaning) I will never truly be an actual Overland individual, I mean who has the ability of leaving for a month or more, to live off the land, off grid? Only the rich and I damned sure am not independently wealthy. But as I digress, if I painted it and made it all shiny, that first tree stripe, would really upset me, so it will likely be coated with some sort of resilient application like Monstaliner!
  17. Next, I decided to remove one inch, along the top edge. And then reinstall. Success... bravo! I just came back from a hike up the roadways and my temp gauge never went above 190 and at that time, I actually finally heard the e-fan turn on (1st time ever, hearing it!) At that point, I said to myself, for a 34 year old truck, this lil gem is largely intact :) And here the big plus, I actually had ample heat in the cab... I was very pleased!!!
  18. Here is an update on my t-stat/non t-stat temporary fix. I first covered the entire front face of my AC Condenser. That netted me, near dangerous, motor temp levels.
  19. I know all about that, I have only owned my Comanche since April of 2017. And it has been said, that I will change the color of it, from it's original color, under that rustoleum hunter green, to OMG any color under the rainbow. It's original color is a charcoal grey. But look around and you will suddenly see, that any shade of grey, is so damned over used. As a matter of fact, grey is one of the most popular colors in the US. And I for one, am not a 'cookie cutter - go with the flow' type guy! I love to be different!!!
  20. Either way, those two stretched MJ's are pretty special!!!
  21. Meaning, repainting? Cool!
  22. Little Red Wagon?
  23. Thank you kindly! eaglescout526
