Toke a minute to walk the trails I didn’t want to do alone and get some pictures so people know what’s out here. These two pictures are taken from above and below the same spot.

Now that I have front and rear drivelines, and a winch, and all my recovery gear in order, oh and t case linkage installed, I decided to go explore Cline butte better. Finally found the crawling area. Met a couple guys they were cool. They drove Toyota’s tho. 😂😂

tips for repairing front end damage

Are you the one in the video Pete? -
And with that skilled of fab work in the ac delete bracket, why not just move your alternator up there?

You bore out renix throttle bodies? Is it plug and play? And how much if so?

Definitely loving the washer bottle. I may have to steal that idea. 😂

Looks good man. Excited to see it moving along. I adjusted my speedometer also, we’ll go down together. 😂😂 except I kept my old one and adjusted the new one to zero. I have 7k miles on my Comanche now. 😂😂

Harbor freight had a 20% off coupon today so I went and bought one of their new ZXR series winches. This is the third harbor freight winch I have bought so far and have never had problems. The first one I rear ended someone and demolished the magnets inside of it. The second one was sold with my old wj. And this one now. I managed to hide the selenium box under the radiator. Luckily I don’t have a mechanical fan there anymore. 😂 also added the bolts from the jcr brackets to the warn bumper. Gina weld it soon but I at least have enough piece of mind now to where I can use the winch.

Added a stock Napa replacement stabilizer. I havnt used one in ten years but since moving to bend, they are actually worth the money.... I never noticed a difference with or without a stabilizer until having a road that was straight for more then a mile without turning at all. When you get 30 mph winds hitting you sideways they actually do help...

As usual didn’t stop to take pics while installing but this is the boostwerks 231 t case shift linkage. I ended up using the 3/4” drop option and the middle slot on my application. Which is 4.0, 99 ax15, 01 231 with no drop bracket stock positioning.

It was a spur of the moment decision. I was sitting there thinking why couldn’t I save money and not get these two brackets. Then I thought maybe these will just bolt in if I flip them. Almost but still gotta drill holes and weld. 😑

Got home and toke some pictures of the tie in brackets and how they line up with the warn bumper. I'm gonna bolt them together and then weld them together. I’ll probably never take it apart anyways... 😂😂😂 I didn’t need the jcr brackets on the inside of the frame horns because i have those warn brackets, which happen to be way more beefcake then even the jcr setup. Whoda thought based on the 1 million pound bumper.

I ended up buying the jcr front unibody tie in brackets. The warn bumper I bought didn’t have the frame horn tie ins with it. I guess that’s ok since I only paid 250 for it. 😂😂. I finished it last night but until I get home from work these are the only pictures I have. I flipped the inner tie in brackets so they point out, they almost line up with the factory warn holes. But that’s ok I’m gonna weld them on anyways.

Boss asked me if I could drive my truck for work. Next thing I know I’m driving two hours out to Christmas valley with like thirty miles of this. There were some puddles also. And some decent mud one of the two days I had to go.

Got these amazon LED headlights. I hate them cosmetically but man they sure are nice for driving at night. They are DOT approved.

Moved out to Bend in central Oregon. Much better work that pays way better. Been here about six months now. A lot has been done. It’s been a long while since I’ve updated.

Picked up a warn bumper from up in Seattle. Its @#$%ing huge and bulky but better then no bumper for now. haha

No pictures of it with the wheel spacers on yet, Like i said its a temporary fix to a permanent problem... Its driving perfectly now. Very tight and fun to drive at highway speeds now. Hahaha. At this point just need to do fenders and I'm golden like a shower.

Alright guys I'm beginning to suspect this site is dead but I'm going to do an update anyways. lol Swapped in a high pinion 30 out of a 99 XJ, and did a rugged ridge wan tan steering setup. Drives exceptional now! Waiting on my core 4x4 trac bar to arrive. Also completed my 8.8 swap. Riddler cover and 2" wheel spacers in the rear until I get some wheels with some decent offset.

I'm either going to stumble onto a 97+ fender set or end up getting tired of waiting and notching the clip and re fiberglassing it to match. Its super easy to work with and I have been planning on taking it off and redoing the passenger areas that I had to rebuild anyways. Up close there are some small cracks here and there that I need to fill in and repaint. And thank you on the seats! I'm pretty proud of how they turned out. Super comfy also. I bolted 33x12.5s on it last night and it fit without any rubbing lock to lock. I turned it around in circles several times to see. So with that being said its time to cut the rear fenders and go get some 33's. Haha
-
I'm keeping it sprung under. I don't feel like opening that can of worms at this time, and with how my fenders are turning out I'm anticipating being able to run 33x10.5 at my current height. I wanna get everything else done before I go spring over, bumpers sliders axles etc. Not planning on doing it for probably a couple years, right now my main focus is overlanding and camping trips.

Thank you! it was totally random seeing them at the yard. hahaha

Oh by the way guys, I had to use the PT Cruiser seat belts also, it wasnt bolt in but wasnt difficult to do. Just a three inch long bracket with two holes to extend it out a little bit. And update I had a friend that is 6'8" sit in the Comanche after the seat swap. He says it is more roomy then his xterra that he dailies. His head barely rubs the bottom of the head liner.
