It is, which is why we are trying to put the puzzle together and quite possibly make more of the earlier MJ's build sheets more complete.
-
Well its not so much that the biggest production year or Chrysler wanting to literally wipe AMC away from public knowledge, its more of back in the 90's before everything went digital, there was a flood in Chryslers basement where they foolishly stored old documents like build sheets and what not which is why alot of 84-86 Jeep build sheets are incomplete.
-
86's are the only ones plagued with the lack of information the hardest.

Doesnt matter, just needs the clutch parts inside the bell house. -
Yeah, thats my idea is to wait for them to all be entered. If the other site will take time, then I imagine that will give me time to do the ones posted.
-
Should I start doing build sheets?

Mopar Performance Catalog - Jeep cams
eaglescout526 replied to Eagle's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Last I do remember reading was the cams were involved with timing. Rather than stock opening and closing of the valves, it opened them a little earlier and later. -
Anybody ever contacted JustDashes?

One of these days when California isnt so hectic and I can find a spare dash, I will take it to them to redo. -

I also drove my 2.5L which has an AX5 with 4.10 out back on 215r15 75 tires up hell of an incline on the free way from Phoenix to Payson and granted it was a bit of a dog in third(didnt want to push her too much at the time) but with the 2.5L's low end torque, you shouldnt have any problem at all. Plus youll still have more gas than most guys with a 4.0L. -

Their house isnt too far from mine at all, about 6 miles. So I don't need it to go far. -

2.5L is a stout engine. If youre gonna do some crawling with it, gearing and upgrading to the AX15 with a Dakota bellhouse that has the same engine will make it a bolt in upgrade, plus external bell house(if you do this upgrade let me know please! I can't for the life of me find an 84-86 AX4or 5 trans) Also a good thing I read when AMC made the engine was to phase out GM's crap 4cyl for theirs and they made the 2.5L with the Jeeps and Eagle in mind so they made it for the off road scene. So it will do any basic off road you want it to do. If you want to take it even further, you can upgrade to Chryslers MPFI platform for the engine and get a bit more HP and torque out of it. Hell why not put in an electric fan to reduce drag on the engine from the mechanical fan. -
Mopar Performance Catalog - Jeep cams
eaglescout526 replied to Eagle's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Oddly enough my Mopar Performance catalog has nothing for the 2.5L. Its from 1990 so Chrysler was focused on the 4.0L by that time. I do have a Jeep engines dedicated mopar book I can look at. -

That is true, but if I can get the car running an driving before the grandparents move, then I shouldnt have to worry about renting such. Also just dropped another $300 in parts for the Bird. These parts should get me moving soon. -
Just think, Probably only less than a million 2.5L's were made.
-
I am patiently waiting to do some VINs later lol.

Despite looking goofy, they actually look hell of a lot better than the Renault flag type option you could get as a lower end mirror vs mirror delete.

Serious help! Ahhhh!!!

We did, they should still be floating around and moderately priced if I remember right. It’s been a minute since I last looked at the PS pumps. -
Left turn signal doesn’t return after turn
eaglescout526 replied to Warren99's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
When mine had the same issue it was just a little spring on the turn switch itself that was missing. -

There’s actually some NOS pumps left if I remember right.
