  1. EXACTLY NOT what I said, "Use the 86 MJ cluster OR the 90 XJ cluster, for the XJ wiring harness?" Now pull back behind you and pull your panties out of a wad :D
  2. Wait, what are you trying to do again? Use the 86 MJ cluster or the 90 XJ cluster for the XJ wiring harness?
  3. Get one like this... I can't remember what year you have but get it from a 87-90 Cherokee if it's like an 88 or something...I picked mine up for my 87 Comanche, got it from a 89 Cherokee at a junkyard for $20... Here are the pics... Hope that helps...
  4. Ok thanks for all your help! Sorry if I didn't give enough information before.. I appreciate you putting up with my questions.. Next thing is to look back in my old threads and find the part number for the oil pressure guage temp sensor..
  5. That's awesome.. lol :clapping:
  6. :agree: Cheapest..
  7. See how much they are at your local junkyard... If it's in good shape, and cheap, go for it.
  8. Pics of the new cluster... I believe this is the right one... Thanks for looking..
  9. I got another this afternoon from an '89 Cherokee it has the rpm meter in the big gauge on the left and it's black with red.. It has the back of what I need.. I think I'll post pics soon. Thanks
  10. I don't have the MJ here in town, it's in Alabama, explained above, and I want to replace it due to the idiot lights, and I would rather have rpms, instead of a big gas gauge..
  11. Ok, thanks a lot.
  12. Coming along nice, keep it up!
  13. So.. the one I need would be one with the idiot lights?? Thanks
  14. Dang, well thanks a lot for your help! I guess it's over to the classifieds. :typing:
  15. IF you look on top of it, where the papers are... In the stamped circle, the numbers are 0886, is that the inspection date?? Also, does anyone have a picture of a stock 1987 Jeep Comanche Chief gauge cluster?
  16. Nice info, thanks!
  17. Nice info, thanks!
  18. I'm trying it in an 87.. I don't have the Comanche in my driveway though... (in Alabama, so I can't pull it apart right now)..
  19. The paper on top.. with the big 9658... the left to it says Chrysler P/N 56009658... I tried looking up on some sites, and it says no matches found...
  20. I got a gauge cluster at the junkyard today, I'm not sure what year of Cherokee it is from, but I might look up the part number (or if someone else could) and figure it out.. I hope this is the right gauge cluster.. I do have a 2.5L in my Comanche with 5 speed.. I'm not sure if this is from a 4.0L or not.. (should that matter?) The label under the Cherokee's hood was ripped off and I couldn't see the year or engine size of the Jeep.. I does have on the left side (black thing in the picks, have lights for certain things (e-brake, battery, part time, arrow to shift up, all of that.. In the pics, also, it has blue rubber plug kind of things over the lights, so I'm guessing that the dashboard lights are blue when turned on?? Any feedback will help! If someone has a sight I can look up the part number, that would be great!! http://img192.imageshack.us/g/dscn1662k.jpg/
  21. I know it's from a high 80s Cherokee. I looked at a 85 and they were different..
  22. I went to the junkyard today and brought back a gift. :) I'm not sure what year of CHerokee it came out of but it looks exactly the same.. You think it will fit good? Thanks http://img714.imageshack.us/img714/7894/1001815y.jpg http://img338.imageshack.us/img338/9030/1001814h.jpg On the far left side of the cluster, there are symbols for lights, list of them are... e-brake light, security, part time, battery, seat belt, check engine, low washer, arrow to shift, ABS let me know your feedback, if it won't work, I'll just sell it to someone on here or eBay.
  23. Maybe it was when the tailgate was down? I was confused when he said it too..
  24. In the bed, that is.. How wide is the tailgate? From top to bottom?
