  1. connectors look about the same but different numbers of pins on the connectors
  2. yeah cuz I got the cluster with all gages on my 86 ( it had the 2,8L) and I don't care about the idiots light lolll
  3. I'm starting to put the interior back in the truck and I'm puting the 90 XJ wirring harness for the motor swap but the cluster for the XJ doesn't have the RPM gage on it just the huge fuel gage but my MJ one got it Ive seen a post for the rear wirring but as anyone done this so far? I'm sure some of you guys have put RPM's in your trucks can some one tell me where the RPM is taken from on the engine maybe after that I will figure out if I can get the cluster to work
  4. Ill let you know more when I'm done btu I'm doing the swap right now 90 XJ I6 into my 86 MJ taken the whole dash apart now to switch the wirring harnest and more to come tommorow anyway if you wanna follow this ill put pice as I go in my project post Dom
  5. non cuze I got grand wagoneer diff on my YJ and the bolt pattern is 6x5.5 and there both 35'' now no need to change

  7. today I worked on the rear end putting the AAL on but alone ( my friend didn't show up to busy getting laid ) so with a lot of :wall: and a lot of and some more of :fs1: I manage to take the leafs appart and put the AAL on and put the tires back on tommorow I'll be doing the front coils and LCA and maybe putting the new ''used'' 35'' to see what will be the final height of the truck AS soon that I will be done with the whole thing I will post something in the DIY section well I started with a 4.5'' lift but will probably end up with a 6.5'' if I can't fit the 35's here's a pic of what it'll look like and see if the truck will still fit in the garage door lolllllllll
  8. tried to search for it............. then crouch under the cherokee with a mesuring tape to realize that they are 1.5'' further would have been a great swap while the leafs were taken apart thanks for the answer Dominic
  9. will it fit without having to move the spring perch ?? need this quick I got the MJ diff takan appart before I put it back on with the new leafs
  10. will probably have to trim a lot then............ :thumbsup: I don't have a prob with that I have a good backspacing I think 3.75 but realy not sure I just took a set of rims that I tought would be ok they look like the rims i got on my YJ ( same spacing) will post pics tommorow edit: how do i mesure the BS

  14. bringing this post back up will I have enough room to put 35'' on it with the 4.5'' lift I got a great deal for the tires who here is runing 35'' and how much lift do you have on your truck? did you trim a lot to fit them ?

  19. tommorow should be a busy day I will paint the floors and if it dry fast enough I might have time to put the insulant that I saw in an other post viewtopic.php?f=7&t=16945&p=230673&hilit=insulation#p230673 about mid page and I also got the bubblewrap insulation with the foil on each sides Hope you guys enjoy this post for my truck so far

I got to say when I bought my mig welder i wasn't sur but with the progress I made with my welds today I'm quite happy with it (and my welds) I finished the flooring today I've put seam sealer so its got to dry tonight and I will paint it tommorow well I'm gonna paint the whole flooring here is how it went first the cut out piece for it these are the holes that I made to spot weld it (verry good trick one of my buddy told me to make this easyer) after I started welding finished welding with the seam sealer at the end

Ive seen 3 row opoen system rad for cherokees on ebay for 200$ ( means I have to convert from close to open system) Ive also called places around my place to get a new rad this is what I found : I can get a 1 row for 150$ all alluminum and a 2 row for 200$ metal and plastic what is the best way to go? I mean if i don't change all the hoses and parts can I still convert the system to open for real cheap can I reuse the same parts except the t-stat receiver ?? your toughts on this please ps Ive read the DIY about the change from close and open but I don't have that kind of money
  25. sorry to :hijack: your post but I'm about to reput an engine in my comanche and I had a few questions If I take the tranny and the t-case apart from the motor DO I HAVE to change parts or everything will work fine as I put everything back together ? What are the parts that I SHOULD change while everything is apart ?? is there parts that are gonna break or will have a tendency to??
